And yet some delivered. It’s this I’m aiming to examine in this article – how many projects succeeded in reaching the Vita, how many failed, and how many are in limbo, as well as a conclusion on the overall state of Kickstarter (and other crowdfunding sources) on the handheld."
Nintendo Everything: Citizens of Earth is no longer available on the 3DS eShop, and if you’ve been keeping up with recent news, you probably know why. A homebrew vulnerability was discovered within the game just a few days ago. Nintendo was expected to follow up on that, and they certainly have.
Laguna Levine writes: "I don't think Earthbound/Mother 2 needs much of an intro, but if you need it, it's a Super Nintendo RPG set in modern times with an unhealthy dose of pop culture references and humor that's got quite the cult following. The series isn't very long, but perhaps its uniqueness and history of being unavailable to English made it somewhat legendary. Well, those of us who grew up with the game are in the work force now, and it's inspiration has lead to two interesting Kickstarters: Citizens of Earth and Undertale. Both drew a lot of inspiration from the same source, but each branched out into completely different directions."
