This would help the Vita so much, in all regions!

remixx1163376d ago

You need at least a 16gb card for the vita. 4 and 8 are just to small, I don't even think p4g can fit on a 4gb.

tanukisuit3376d ago

I was wondering, wouldn't it be "economical" for Sony to drop the 4 and 8 GB memory sticks? It would cut down on the amount of inventory they stock.

Besides, a lot of people are clamoring for higher capacity ones, and the 64GB one hasn't even hit N.A yet :/

Eidolon3376d ago (Edited 3376d ago )

I think P4G does fit in a 4GB card(listed as 3.1GB before install/update), the initial install anyway, I think updates will prove the problem if they exceed the remaider.

A 16GB card is perfect if only for games and I paid $20 for mine.. I filled up my bundled 8gb pretty quick with PS+.

Skate-AK3376d ago

Only game so far that can't fit is Borderland 2, if you plan on downloading all the DLC.

CertifiedGamer3376d ago

I have my vita and it's called the Sony Xperia Z3

kayoss3376d ago

No, I think it's called a Sony Xperia z3. Google it, the ps vita and the Xperia looks nothing alike. :S

Skate-AK3376d ago

Guessing he is just trying to be smart because Xperia can remote play too.

CertifiedGamer3374d ago

Yes Skate-AK is right about what I meant, but I guess I got disagrees because the Sony Xperia Z3 is way better than the PS vita. Is the vita waterproof, can it record in 4K and take pictures in 20.7 megapixels while also running on Android(currently kitkat) and Lollipop 5.0 next month. The Xperia Z3 is miles better than the PS vita.

kayoss3374d ago (Edited 3374d ago )

First and fore most, the PS Vita is a dedicated hand held video gaming device. All other things are icing on the cake and not really meant to compete with hand held phones. Second, no one will argue with you that the xperia have the abilities to do things that the PS vita cant (like holding your breath and playing games while underwater). but the xperia is meant to be solely a dedicated phone with additional bell and whistles.

This is why you get disagree, your comparison of the two devices were unwarrant. If you were to compare the ps vita to the new 3DS, you may have a lot more agree's than disagree.

Tapani3376d ago (Edited 3376d ago )

32gt memory card is perfect for me. I have 23 games on it (mix of vita, ps classic and psp games) and 6 gigs of music on it. I use wifi of my 4G LTE limitless mobile phone to download stuff on the go or play online. I still have 8gigs left, but if I run out of space, I can just delete the games I've completed (store the saves on cloud) and download new ones. 64 gigs would be overkill for me, but 16 gigs would be a "survival" pack. I can see myself surviving quite nicely with 16 gigs tho :)

Once the PS4 becomes Vita's external HDD, then things will be even easier!

PoSTedUP3376d ago (Edited 3376d ago )

i need a 64, i have a 16 but i have so many games in the store they could fill a 64 and a 32. i hate the Scam of not being able to erase a game without erasing the save data just so i have to buy an over priced memory card or commit to a subscription.

Tapani3375d ago (Edited 3375d ago )

Me too! Although, it's only for Vita games, so you can safely delete PSX and PSP games and keep the data. You can also upload the data (PSP/PSX) on your PC or PS3. I was worried I misplaced my Tactics Ogre remake 60hrs data, but found it later and it worked, just like PSX games' data.

It's a pain to change memory cards, though.

PoSTedUP3375d ago

yeah i know, and its the vita games that take up 3-4 gigs lol. can you upload vita game-saves to pc or ps3? i think you can save the games to the cloud and then reupload them onto your new SD card.

i think i lost all my saves on ps+ cloud bc i forgot to buy it, man it was so many unfinished long games... mostly rpg/jrpgs. devastated.

Got to Zacks part in 7 Rebirth. Said f it. Finishing my game in 7 og. Just got to part 2 yesterday. I also got Crisis Core... So it'll be a while before I'm back to Rebirth. I just keep thinking about it too smh, want to get back to playing it. Not till I know Zacks story though. I beat 7 og sooooooo long ago, it's crazy going through it again and remembering things.

MrNinosan8d ago (Edited 8d ago )

Got to Zacks part in Rebirth?
You mean you started the game and turned it off?
The game starts with Zack...

ravens528d ago

... Really 🤓 lol. His second part, I've played for 80hrs lmao. <---- PS5 Run time, probably not all game time. You guys know how it goes.

VIK21218d ago (Edited 8d ago )

Did you not ever play the OG FF7? After you recruit Vincent, later in the game, disc 3, return to that basement and look at the pod, there's a whole Zack story that'll trigger as a memory.... it's well hidden in the game and a lot of things regarding Zack are cleared up. FF7 Crisis Core is basically an extend feature of that hidden flashback... It took me years to discover it back then lol

@ravens52
80 hours in Rebirth by doing everything, and you should've reached Zacks story about 5 times 🤣

ravens527d ago

Ye I kno that's y I said not all gameplay time. But also I am very anal when it comes to exploring.

ravens527d ago

Not to mention fighting Titan at his full strength. Hours spent trying still haven't succeeded. Found all 3 ruins but I'ma masochist when it comes to games.

Very much so. Graphically it's dated but the story and the gameplay haven't aged a day. It's still one of my all time favourite RPGs and for me is better than Remake in some ways.

Barlos8d ago (Edited 8d ago )

It always takes me back to Christmas 1997, I got it as a gift and I was blown away when I played it. I couldn't believe games could look that good. The combination of pre rendered backgrounds and FMV really made it stand out. It definitely still has a certain charm that modern games can't replicate.

I can't imagine people will still be talking about Remake and Rebirth in 27 years.

Tapani8d ago

Fully agreed. To me the atmosphere, pacing, gameplay and music are all better than in the remake.

Rebel_Scum8d ago

Yes, play this, skip remake, start rebirth for new players.

I_am_Batman8d ago

Skip Remake? That's terrible advice.

leahcim8d ago

Remake is so amazing, pure FFVII Love, play it on PS5 please! aww the graphics the battles, the music... a dream come true.

Rebel_Scum8d ago (Edited 8d ago )

I disagree Batman
