Emily Lemay from The Koalition writes:
"Hey, it’s me. Emily, if you’re not too sure by that greeting. We’ve known each other for decades now, but I don’t think we’ve spoken like this – so candidly, that is. I’ve been thinking about you a lot lately, how you’ve slowly slunk your way into every aspect of my life. I think it happened without me truly realizing it, but when I get a moment to stop and ponder on it, I come to the realization that I don’t think I’d be me without you. And if there’s anything that I should say to you, it’s this: thank you. I think you saved me."

Thank you for your story Emily! Its nice to see that video games can have a positive effect on ones life!
Keep on gaming!
After rereading this story ( it really hits home ) I had to add this:
What a FANTASTIC story Emily! It is nice to see what a positive effect video games can have on someone.
Video games has been a huge part of my life over the last 40 years that I could never have enough space here to write how much it has "saved me".
It has been my stress relief,my escape ,and my way of dealing with dying loved one that needed 24 hour care. I have made some great life long friends while playing online from all over the world.
Looking back on my gaming habit and thinking of all those people that said that I was wasting my time and money on video games, I say this: the people that I have met through video games are more my friends than they will ever be! I'm not on drugs, or in a bar somewhere drunk!
I have a job and work hard to do my best at. Oh and I DON'T live in my moms basement!
