We are very excited to finally announce that the game we have been working on for the last two years is going to be released in a few weeks! This game is Pirates: Treasure Hunters. Yes, we love pirates! We read lots of books about pirates! We watch movies about pirates and now we’ve made a game of Pirates.
We have always wanted to create our own universe of pirates, and this game is a totally new and refreshing approach to the genre.
Wonder why I have not heard of this. As much League and Dota 2 I play, you would think someone would have mentioned it. Looks pretty damn fun. Definitely not run of the mill. Jumping on pirate ships and having sea battles? Is that the Baron/Roshan of the game? Probably not cause the enemy team had one too. Time to research.
CJ E&M announced that 120,000 players have participated in first closed beta of MOBA Pirates: Treasure Hunters by the fourth day after CBT started. On the other hand, the game's name was ranked top 10 in Korean search engines.
The testers once requested to extend server opening time. Current server opening time of Pirates: Treasure Hunters is 3 p.m. - 11 p.m. from Monday to Friday and server will be on 24 hours on weekends.
CJ E&M also hosted a lot of CBT events. All the testers will receive special badges and CJ E&M is going to select several players who write game reviews on social networking sites and give them 2 million South Korean Won (about 2,000 USD) as traveling expense to Spain.
CJ E&M released two new videos for its new MOBA title Pirates: Treasure Hunters which is currently in closed beta. The first video is a fun promotion trailer and in the second video, you will see the developers from the Spanish game company Virtual Toys.
