Destiny Pays Homage to Halo: Enemies Tea-Bag Dead Players in PS4 Beta

Halo is one of the games, if not the game, that popularized tea-bagging and turned it into a global trend in shooter games, turning what’s essentially the mockery of a sexual act into a way to humiliate enemies online.

Apparently someone at Bungie was on a jesting mood when he programmed what definitely looks like a bona-fide tea-bagging routine into the AI of Destiny's enemies.

Fake
It's more likely a glitch, saying it is a homage is a ridiculous leap. Not to mention Bungie has said they are trying to avoid having t-bagging at all in Destiny.

Looks more like A.I. going dumb.

akurtz3563d ago

Its definitely just a small glitch, hes getting stuck on the obstacle there.

HystericalGamez3563d ago

It would be a REALLY big coincidence for this kind of thing to happen right after a kill. I was the one who was playing. I was driving with my Sparrow and got blown up. The enemy walked over to where I was and started tea bagging and I started to record as soon as I saw it.

Keith Olbermann3563d ago

Yea. I have been playing this beta non stop. This is a next gen game. Rocks on PS4. I havent had this much fun in a loooong time. Excellent work Bungie.

OneShotThrill3563d ago

Definitely. ..COD ...Battlefield are in serious trouble this fall.

Vantage3562d ago

But the game is on last gen.

So rather, it's a last gen game ported over to next gen.

Dontworrybhappy3562d ago (Edited 3562d ago )

Yea that's def a teabag. I been getting teabagged since 2004 I should know...
;_;

DasTier3563d ago

I can't help but smile at this.

BiggCMan3563d ago

Why is this making news....clearly this is just the AI moving around.

Abriael3563d ago

Clearly. The AI always moves around squatting repeatedly over corpses.

KingKelloggTheWH3562d ago (Edited 3562d ago )

The ai does this quite a bit when they get stuck on objects, it happens in a bunch of games.

I've put over 20 hours into the game and this doesnt happen when anyone else gets killed.

Th3o3563d ago (Edited 3563d ago )

So anything is news or worthy of a post now I see...so crouching...is homage to Halo...it looked more like a glitch than this so called "homage"

Also I don't see the body, is the kill cam hiding it?

dcj05243563d ago

Slow news bro. Journalist need money too.

HystericalGamez3563d ago

The bodies de-spawn and the Ghost stays there in their place.

That's extremely low for microtransactions, especially for a game that's essentially designed around it

LucasRuinedChildhood326d ago (Edited 326d ago )

This was back when the game wasn't free to play.

The figures are from November 2017 to February 2019 (1 year and 4 months).

Based on that projection, the MTX revenue for Destiny 2 likely would have been closer to ~$240m for 2 years.

Not sure if premium expansions are included in that figure either although ... I'd hope that they are though and that most of the revenue was for actual content like Forsaken.

People spend way too much money on cosmetics.

Rude-ro326d ago (Edited 326d ago )

Seasons($10 and just got bumped to $12) and dungeon keys($10 each, two a year) are through the eververse(micro transaction) store.
So for those two years, in order to play a season, you would pay through micro transactions.

Sonic1881326d ago (Edited 326d ago )

Bungie Marathon will be worse since it's designed around it as well

Kurt Russell325d ago

It makes me sad to agree... but at the same time I am looking forward to giving it a go. Destiny 2 is so far in, I find it difficult to figure out what I am meant to do first.

buffig326d ago

I think FIFA alone makes over $1bn a year from mtx

anast326d ago

FIFA promotes a worldwide sport. It should make more money than destiny.

CantThinkOfAUsername326d ago (Edited 326d ago )

Let's compare something similar. Apex Legends and its ridiculous $18/$40 skins make EA a billion each year.

z2g326d ago

For as much as ppl complain how much they hate microtransactions, they sure don’t act like it. No wonder they aren’t going anywhere.

spicelicka326d ago

By "people" you're referring to millions and millions of people. Obviously the ones complaining aren't necessarily the same as the ones spending all that money.

There's millions that purchase MTX and there's nothing we can do about it

I've been thinking about playing through D1 again before it goes away...

CobraKai477d ago

That’s the sad reality of a game like this. I bought it, invested lots of money, and it can go away at anytime. I still think this was more fun than 2.

jeromeface476d ago

prob because 2 is a grindfest slog

spoonard473d ago

That's the bummer of 'games as a service'.
