Immersion is one of the most important aspects of any video game and can even rival gameplay. However why is immersion so important to begin with?

Oh hell yeah! I feel like this was one hell of an underrated game, and I'm glad to see that a part 2 is coming.
This was my favorite Telltale game. I’m definitely going to play this. Hopefully it has less jank than the Telltale games had. I didn’t think it would happen but I’m happy it’s coming
Great, loved the first game and happy a sequel is coming but after such a lengthy development, are Telltale gonna be releasing it episodic with non specific time delays between episodes? If it is episodic, they need to have a full set of dates laid out for every episode so we know what we are getting & when like Resident Evil Revelations 2 did, buying episode 1 and not knowing when the rest will come is just unacceptable in 2024.
I always loved Telltale games. They were like those old choose your own adventures books.
Well me and MARK CERNEY (creator of MARBLE MADNESS) both agree the arcade video game DEFENDER (1980) was the greatest video game ever! Other games i love CONTRA (NES) / DOOM 1 and 2 are just a few games, that were great because of great gameplay mechanics, which to me, makes the game very immersive!! I prefer good fun gameplay over story! WOLFENSTEIN NEW ORDER was great also!!
That was my problem with Wolfenstein. The cutscenes kept pulling me out. They seemed pretty halfass too, for example falling asleep on a train and waking up in a hotel in Berlin seemed pretty rushed and it was like that throughout.
Yeah, but the the awesome smooth, FPS gameplay of WOLFENSTEIN NEW ORDER made some of those half-baked story cut scenes become very entertaining ! I think if a video game has terrible game play mechanics , then i will just stop playing the game, no matter how good the story is ! An example of a game that had okay FPS mechanics, but a great story was HALF LIFE 2 . Which is a awesome video game too!
