he seems less than dedicated to getting to teh wow movie. He'll wait long enough that no one's playing anymore and move on? curse of fantasy film properties?
but it's already tomorrow in Australia....
no one likes starcraft. you have to play with your real name. wait, what?
I do not know the answer to your question.
I don't put any credence on that rumor; the whole "friend's ex-roommate knows a guy" provenance is without value.
That said, I'm sure it's true, even without evidence. All the Bliz devs are gamers, and 99% of gamers thing the Real ID thing is horrible, judging by forum feedback. Thus the Bliz devs and CMs are quite likely to agree; they just have to suck it up and no-comment or actively defend an unpopular decision made by their corporate masters.
just long enough for some last minute balance tweaks, etc. So everything will be perfect upon launch, just like every other bliz game.
I'd comment, but I don't wnat to use my real name and ActiZard requires that now. It's been in the news; maybe someone has heard? :(
I don't see the benefit to bliz in it, other than depopulating their forums. All of their stated desired changes could be achieved by hiring some mods and harnessing the power of the community to self police. You know, like what every other busy/good forum on the internet does. They're just hoping that having real names will scare off everyone who might make trouble, without caring that quite a few regular users will vanish as well.
No one's yet said that they're Zerging up the patch? Alas...
This comes with the inflatable, anatomically correct Kerrigan doll, right?
This is Diablo 3, right? Oh wait...
Waiting is what Blizzard fans do best!
Blizzard's very good at promising cool stuff after the launch. Whether it actually arrives... yeah.
Rears of Gore. Wears of Rore. Wears of Gror? I'm sure it'll be wonderful.
The tyrael and the wizard pics have been seen, and the city ones are concepts similar to others. But the monsters are new and the spider caves are very cool. Looks like we're indeed heading back to act 3 again, as rumored...
it's nice to review what's happened previously, while bliz continues to keep the d3 plot and lore under such tight wraps.
the game lore of diablo is much overlooked. by players with their eager click fest playing style, especially online. I guess that's true of most every MMO-style RPG, though. Sad, the good work that goes into it is unread by many.
expect a pay option to play with people worldwide. it's the new blizzard/battle.net way....
let's hope patch 9 from outer space goes better than "Plan 9 from Outer Space."

Also, how do you lose in SC without it being detectable? Just screw up your micro, or what? it would be obvious if you weren't going up the tech tree or trying all out for some rush that would never work.
since most mmos seem to be failing these days... :(
