Thank you Han - that was a fun interview! ^.^
That's... I don't even know what that is.
As a reply to all of the above - it was a really inspiring event, had loads of fun there. Really recommend it to anyone in the area!
Aye - and then those few nutters who've started a petition to bring back the DRM :D
But but TV and Vidya Games are satan's work! Spawn of the devil! Fox news told me so, it must be true!! On a more serious note: Yay. We're progressing more and more strongly towards a digital future and rather than trying to rebel against it, people should be figuring out ways of adopting it beneficially.
Yeah, it's a tough one - a player's interpretation of crap might just be 'my vision for the game didn't match the developer's vision' so it's just a difference of artistic values.
That and the whole charade of them using that stock photo for the end scene... That's just nonsense! What a way to utterly dismiss player importance; 'we don't care about you enough to manufacture a proper ending - here's a pretty stock photo we found'.
Thank you :D
Kinda like that mess 'War Z' is in currently. Changed their name to get away from bad publicity which conveniently removed their terrible metascore on Steam - really poor show from them. If ever there was a game that deserved refunding its customers...!
If we chip away at it long enough it'll happen, eventually. ^.^
Don't be silly, that's far too reasonable a stance! ;)
Any label will do, as long as it absolves you of some guilt! [/sarcasm]
What you're saying there about empathy brings to mind a story a male friend shared with me last week. Taking out all of the context because I don't think it's relevant, he said to a female colleague, 'women are emotional'. He didn't mean it negatively - he was talking about empathy, how women respond on a more emotional level to situations and act accordingly. It's also just plain biology - all this estrogen we have coursing through our veins DOES make us more emot...
It doesn't come across much from the pics but it's VERY Zelda-esque. I'm not getting a WoW vibe at all from it, and I'm a long-time WoW player - but I've played a million and one RPGs.
There is absolutely corruption in games journalism - especially as the stakes get higher. http://www.vgchartz.com/art... is just one of loooads of articles covering it. I don't think it's to do with getting paid to write, though - it's to do with a game producer approaching you with a bunch of free merchandise from their game on the unspoken promise that this will butter you up and make you feel obligated to review t...
Thank ye! It's a funny thing - TenNapel actively made a choice to visit a pro-gay forum and leave disparaging comments. How could he have thought that WOULDN'T have gone badly for him? It was within his realm of possibility to just say 'nope, I don't like these people but I'm not going to go to their neck of the woods and make a scene'. Instead he chose to enter their domain and fling poop. It's childish behaviour even before getting to the context. I'm incline...
Nice to see them improving with successive games. Don't get that much.
Damn skippy. Also, lol at the picture. :D
Really does look interesting. Been keeping an eye on it since seeing that trailer they released a while back showing the character graphics. Crazy stuff there.
