Companies base revenue margins around quarterly statistics. Based on statistics their best bet for making the most money is during the holidays. Why? Retailers want to be in the black, holiday shoppers want the latest and greatest (even if it's not a good deal). You have lots of impulse buyers, etc,. etc., in the end holiday season = lot-o-money.
But you're right, as long as gamers support anti-gamer measures they'll continue to supply us with them. Too bad gamers can't be convinced to give up a few hours of fun for the future of consumer ownership rights :/ #1.4.1
If Blizzard didn't release D3 for the RMAH, then why can't those of us who played D1 and D2 offline play D3 offline?
Other games let you have offline and online characters, so why it is so hard for Blizzard to have given us the same option if not for the RMAH?
And you can't say because of piracy because CD Projekt already said that their DRM-free version of the Witcher 2 was pirated less than the securom DRM version of the game.
You're not safe playing the game even if you don't want to use the RMAH. All it does is give Blizzard a cut of the former "black market" peddling. #1.2.1
@CaptCalvin well Arma is in an open-world environment, so it's rendering way, way, way more than CoD.
You'll definitely have to take down the draw distance and the dynamic lighting effects. Unlike other console-ports you at least get to tweak just about every single graphical aspect of Arma 2.
I found a nice sweet spot where the game still looked good and ran at a breezy 60fps.
No lie, though, it takes time to tweak the game to sui... #3.3.3

MW3 is junk dude. Most console-ports run like poop on PC (i.e., poor optimization).
QC + 8GB even with a junk video card is still pretty good. You shouldn't have any problems running Arma, you might have to turn down a few graphic options of course. #3.3
It's not that it's "another shooter". I'm actually excited for games like Arma 3 and Borderlands 2.

If it's not on next-gen consoles it doesn't matter if it's running on the CryEngine 3, the visuals won't blow us away still being on the dated 360/PS3. Especially while PC games next year will be running Nvidia 680GTX cards and Unreal Engine 4 games. #10.1
