If the world was bigger, more open-ended, and the story less-condensed and fleshed out properly it probably would've been. The battle system is really well-done.
I had pretty much decided to skip this game, since I assumed from ss and gameplay vids it was just more of the same of FO3, which I am not down for at all. After reading the review you linked I might actually pick it up, seems like they made a much better game than Bethesda, and more along the lines of what I initially expected out of FO3. Thanks for the link! (I would've never of seen it otherwise, IGN=bleh)
why DO people buy madden games every year!? I mean, at least with fps you get different campaigns and slightly different multiplayer. But football doesn't severely alter rules every season, why the need for new games? Just release a new game every 3 years or so and patch in roster updates and plays. Jesus.
I'm glad I pirated mw2 to check it out before I decided to buy it, that glitch-fest is not worth $60. I'm still playing cod4 and codwaw on occasion, which combined with bf:bc2 is all the online fps'n I need.
lol, I think MS is going to end up spending more on Kinect advertising than the R&D on both it AND PS Move.

I agree completely. I had already moved on to other games by the time fallout 3 dlc started coming out, so I still have all that to do before I start up a sequel. Besides that, Bethesda is alienating their fans with this 360 exclusivity BS, it was bad enough for ps3 owners last year... and now pc gamers are lumped out as-well? For real man, FU Bethesda. I might forgive you when TES:V comes out.
I can't see why people hate this game so much, and praise wow to such a high degree. I tried to get into wow 3 times over the course of 3 years, and that game bored me to tears sometimes. Same here. I did try the 360 demo out of curiosity and OH MAN was it terrible, everything about it felt clumsy and sluggish. I didn't read the review above, but if it's for the 360 version than I could easily see a 5/10, but the Pc version no way, 7 or an 8.

I played the 360 version with a really good 7.1 sound system and it doesn't hold up, it sounded like really bad mp3 quality audio from all channels, (all mid with no real highs, and the bass was very muddy,) due to a crap Dolby Digital track.
Compare that to the ps3 version:

Allow me to explain:
When you buy a game, you are really only buying a license to play it privately. You don't own the actual game (same with movies, music, etc.) otherwise they would be sending you sweet royalty checks and what-not.
Basically, just because you bought a game on disc doesn't mean you own everything on that disc, it only means you purchased the ability to play the game, on the disc, which also happens to have other content you haven't bought a licen...
JRPGs were fine until a few years ago when gaming websites decided to start bashing them for hits, those opinions influenced weak-minded gamers and the kiddies who got into gaming with halo/cod4/gow, and thus the norm is to think JRPGs suck. Which they do not.
Like others have stated, just because DLC exists does not mean you need to buy it. Nobody complained about having to pay for append discs for Beatmania on PSX, and nobody makes a fuss about dlc songs for rock band. DLC ...
FFXIII was a fun game.

Motion blur is fine, but I found the shaky cam rather annoying after a while...even when you're just standing still the screen shakes!
The graphics are pretty top-notch however.
