"Who queues 13 hours for Black Ops?"
People who never did and never will amount to anything in real life.
For a second I thought there's a weapon called "Catastrophic Bag"
Yeah, I was surprised by that. I thought it was going to be multi-plat.
I hope they both fail, so we can get on with our lives. Otherwise it's COD 9: Olympic Games Edition and Killzone 4: Helghast Dance-off party for the rest of our lives.
We joke like this with our black friends (they have lots of white jokes too), but I probably wouldn't do the same with strangers.
They do this to run up traffic. Advertising $$$
"Or will the company shrink to a manageable size?"
This one. Not sure if they will, but they'll have to if this article turns out to be right.
"tablets and smartphones becoming a part of office life"
Where? I work for a company of 250,000 people, largest in its kind - there isn't a single tablet out there and every smartphone is a Blackberry. The reason for this is there is never a budget to develop two copies of ...
There's nothing good about any device that has such a stifling rights management implementation. I never bought an iPod for the same reason. My requirement for a media player: I have to be able to drag-and-drop songs and organize them into folders via Windows Explorer and NOTHING else. I don't want iTunes on my PC. I don't want to have to connect to an online service just to keep the device from wiping out my music. I also will not pay $16 for a 16-song album when I can get the sa...
This is the worst part about current gen. They will learn, though. I see a lot of people no longer buying games on day 1 because of this.

Maybe they need to scale back on everything else for a while, feeding off corporate sales, while they figure out how to get back in the game. Zune is the worst thing I have ever seen to hit the electronics market. Windows phone is the second worst. I'm saying this as a Windows software developer.
They Wii-d all over my PS3, so now I'm expecting MANY years of shovelware, just like Nintendo consoles enjoyed to date.
I bought 3(!) console games this year, one being for PSP. If next year doesn't get better I might lose whatever's left of my interest in gaming.
You are correct. My apologies.
EA's exclusive deal with NFL expires in 2014, so I'm not sure 2K can get a game in until then.
From the review:
"... Lords of Shadow also has framerate issues on the Xbox 360. ... The game runs more smoothly on the PlayStation 3."
Soon he will announce that for next Call of Duty game he will personally take a s#!t in every box, and most of you will still run out and buy it, once again sending their stock through the roof.
Just played the first demo last night - couldn't believe how good it was. Will keep an eye on this one.
No one read the article. It's just some guy saying "they probably won't do it, but I wish they did."
"What We Want" is not the theme of this installment of the series.
"NHL GameCenter LIVE is priced at $169 (U.S.) for an annual subscription..."
Smart of them to put this line at the end of the post, because that's where most people would stop reading.
