Both Microsoft and Sony haven't given completely clear answers on used games. Times are changing and I think they will both handle used games differently to how they're handled today. Whether Xbox One and PS4 will take similar or radically different approaches though is yet to be seen.

In the one hour conference I saw Forza 5, Quantum Break (a brand new IP from Remedy), the promise of 15 exclusives in the first year (with 8 new IP's), a Halo live action show that will probably have some connections with future games, a completely revamped Kinect (the tech demonstrations were vastly superior to what the original was capable of), a controller with several improvements, a powerful hardware set, DVR capabilities for recording and sharing game play, improved cloud capabiliti... #2.3.3
And what is Microsoft's current business model? Tell me how Microsoft is focusing "too much" on entertainment and failing to "innovate and improve" gaming experiences? How are you able to tell that from what has been shown so far? You've already seem to have made up your mind that the Xbox One is going to fail at gaming. #2.3.2
That's pretty neat! OnLive does something similar with some of the achievements (not all of them) by automatically recording a clip leading up to said achievement. I'm sure Microsoft's implementation is more flexible and broader in scope though. #2
I definitely see what you're saying and understand why many people are disappointed with the conference (although I wasn't personally). The ability to interface directly with your cable network is a huge plus for many and something that is just not possible on the PS4 (no HDMI in). Additionally the new UI features and Kinect functionality is also very unique. As far as gaming though it's a little too early to tell just how strong Xbox One is coming out of the gate but I'm sure... #11.1.2
The all in one set top box has been attempted by many companies before but none accomplishing a huge success. There is a huge audience for this! Look at Google with Google TV and Apple with Apple TV. Mild successes but not the breakout hit either wanted. I don't think either company has really nailed the right device down much like how tablets didn't gain much traction until after the iPad released even though tablets existed long before the iPad. Apple is supposedly totally revampi... #11.1
I've been looking at many tech based sites (those not solely focused on gaming like macrumors and Engadget) and the feedback is much more balanced and positive in these venues. People are genuinely intrigued by the device. I myself love technology and am interested in what it brings to the table. Companies (Apple, Microsoft, and even Sony for example) have imagined and sometimes tried to create an "all in one" device but never came out with anything fully accomplishing this goa... #10
Microsoft's stock fell $0.23 but gained $0.02 in after hours trading. Sony's rose $1.94 but fell $0.06 in after hours trading. Please tell me what your definition of "plummeted" and "sky rocketed" is. Also Sony's stock rose due to the spin-off talk that was reported today.
That's why I said I use rechargeable battery packs (or you could also just use rechargeable AA batteries). I wouldn't continuously pay for AA batteries as that could accumulate to a decent cost over time. I've been using the same battery packs for around 4 years now. Here is a 2 pack (official Microsoft) for $11 on Amazon...

The Wii would of failed.
The Xbox would of failed (N4G users swore Microsoft would be dominated by industry giants Sony and Nintendo).
The PS3 would of completely dominated years ago.
The Kinect would of failed (N4G users swore no-one would buy into this "motion" gaming thing).
The 3DS would of failed.
The PSP and Vita would of domi... #14
