Nice review! Makes me tempted to buy the game now. Must be even prettier on a PC. #1

There was an article looking at 2014 PlayStation 4 sales posted on Monday. #6.2

@DarkOcelet - Off the top of my head Microsoft has Halo 5, Forza 6, Quantum Break and Fable Legends. #2.1.1

Yeah Xbox One sales were as low as the Wii U as some points, but since the price cut sales have been a lot closer to the PS4 than the Wii U. It won't catch the PS4, but it will now put up good numbers. #2.2

@Cellode - Yes that does make sense. The Xbox One has done great in the US and good in the UK. It is the rest of the world where the console is struggling. It is basically dead in Japan. #1.1.2

Agreed. The price cut did an amazing job of pushing Xbox One sales. At least in the US. I'm surprised Microsoft didn't cut the price anywhere else to help increase sales even more. #1.1

@Cellode - Yeah more than likely. #2.1.2

Yeah that is really impressive for a console's first year. Casuals normally don't buy consoles until the price hits $200 to $300. Sales will only increase over the next few years. #2.1

@Cellode - 80 million is possible, though unlikely. The Wii was able to do it in a similar timeframe (4 full years + launch period). However, the PlayStation 4 is currently tracking behind the Wii. #1.1.4

@Cellode - If it reached 90 million units by the end of 2017 that would mean it would have to average 23.8 million units in 2015, 2016 and 2017. I don't see sales jumping up that much in 2015. #1.1.2

I agree that 2015 will be an even better year for the PlayStation 4. Looking at past generations 2016/2017 will be the peak years for the PlayStation 4. The PS4 should be able to sell 16-18m in 2015 and around 20m in 2016 and 2017. #1.1

It is still the bestselling franchise for another year, but sales have declined for two straight years. When you release a new game in a franchise every year it causes market saturation and people get tired of it. #1.1

Yeah good point. Either way the PS4 and Xbox One are selling great. #3.1.1

They are saying this because the Wii U is not selling anywhere near what the Wii sold. However, core gaming is as strong as ever. #2.1

You are correct. The PS4 has a nearly 10 million lead over the PS3 while the Xbox One has a lead of 3 million over the Xbox 360. #1.1

They should remain ahead through the rest of the year. The PS3 and Xbox 360 had slow starts. The only question is will they have the same legs. #1.1.3

If you take out the Wii and Wii U, the home consoles are actually ahead by a good margin. The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are way ahead of the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 during the same time frame. #1.1
