Agreed. The franchise has become very popular over the years. I know a ton of people who got it day one.
Nice read and some good points. A lot of games suffer from being repetitive.
It is a good sign for the industry!
It was heavily bundled, but I'm sure a ton of people picked it up who didn't own a PS3.
True. Though, all sold better on PS4 than on other platforms.
That was a great read! I always enjoy learning about the history of video games. It is amazing to see how much they have changed over the years.
Agreed. The US is the strongest market for the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 outsold it in November and December.
PS4 should easily achieve that by the end of the year. I see it getting to 55m-60m by the end of the year.
"PS4 has now cumulatively sold through more than 35.9 million units globally as of January 3, 2016."
I believe Sony's figures were through January 3rd, while VGChartz is through January 2nd. That could be the reason for the slight difference in sales.
@Concertione I'm referring to the PlayStation 4 alone. It was the best month ever for the console. I know the Wii is the fastest selling console.
I agree that all three consoles have some great games that appeal to different audiences.
PlayStation 4 sales in November set a new record for the console. December sales should set another record.
It is a similar situation to the 3DS and New 3DS. Basically the same hardware with tiny improvements.
Those top games! Pokemon really helped sell the Game Boy!
Agreed! This is Sony's generation to lose at this point.
GTAV was a beast with more than a 20% attach rate.
The Wii was a beast! The entire top 10 selling more than 10 million units each!
The GameCube was an amazing system. So many great games.
There were so many amazing games on the Xbox.
