With the insane amount of hype the PS5 has generated, it’s no surprise to me that something as minor as having to pay less than typical retail price for a fully remastered version of a game has taken the news cycle by storm... at least in terms of the hardcore audience. Literally no one outside of sites like these care and it shows when games like Madden and Call of Duty sell crazy numbers despite being okay at best in many cases.
Not to take away from the Series X|S, but t...
My thoughts exactly. While I personally do really like Phil as an Xbox figurehead, the whole “exclusives don’t matter” concept he’s trying to spin is absolute garbage.
It blows my mind to think that they’re really trying to turn this no exclusives thing into a positive. It’s not good for business and it’s not good for the Series X. I had this debate with a friend recently who says that “early adopters will adopt anyway.” And yes while I agree that’s true, it’s true for any ...
I wasn’t sure what to think at first but it’s definitely grown on me over the last 24 hours.
It seems to me like the overwhelming majority of the gaming public absolutely LOVES this design. I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a positive reception to be honest. Regardless of what you think of the design, however, there’s no doubt that it’s distinct and would stand out anywhere.
Holiday 2020 can’t come soon enough.
If you’re saying “don’t break the law and it won’t happen” there’s an issue with that on two levels. Number one, carrying out death sentences or any punishment is not in a cops job description and two, that same rule applies to the police. If you don’t want to be seen as a power-hungry clan, don’t break the law like one.
Just because it’s “rare” doesn’t mean it should be tolerated. The movement is about police brutality in general and it’s not new, it’s been an issue older than you and me combined.
And by experience, no I’m not talking about the things you mentioned. I’m Hispanic and have seen all three of those first-hand growing up. That’s not the issue. The issue is an abuse of the system. Police are supposed to uphold the law, not break it and yet they do it constantly without repercuss...
So then it shouldn’t matter to you what they’re protesting or not. What they’re protesting about concerns them because it’s an experience they continue to have and you never will.
If people have every right to protest being stuck at home for a few months, I think they have a right to protest their concerns.
And lastly, no one is protesting about slavery and the fact that you use “slavery” and “systemic oppression” interchangeably says a lot.
Exactly what I plan on doing. I already have a 2TB HDD so that’s where all of my PS4 games will go.
Looks like I was right about that smaller light just underneath the touchpad, I’m thinking it has to be a voice-sensitive light. Interesting!
@Kribwalker
Give it a rest, man. There’s a reason why the Series X is gonna ship with a Blu-Ray disc drive. Major companies like Sony and MS work together all the time.
Agreed, I don’t like Greenberg at all. One of the worst if not THE worst representative of the industry. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s responsible for the hype behind this event.
Honestly things would have been much better off with a simple explanation as to what was going to happen, full transparency.
Someone please get rid of Greenberg.
I was a bit disappointed with the showing. The event wasn’t anywhere near on the same caliber as their May 2013 reveal but underwhelming nonetheless.
For the immense amount of talk about how unimaginably powerful the console is, none of what I saw really screamed that.
At least it was games focused this time around.
Not illegal, but buying two consoles that do roughly the same thing wouldn’t be smart financially speaking for most of the general public.
I own both consoles and intend to do the same next gen, but I also completely understand wanting/having to choose one over the other if the money just isn’t there.
I’m loving the look!
Interesting to see and the name is very fitting! Super excited to get going on the next generation.
@jukins
Sorry, but doesn’t a “manhood chunk of data” indicate it wouldn’t be for typical data storage and more along the lines of, idk.... a video game?
On second thought, I think we just misunderstood each other. That last sentence in your post tells me you and me are both assuming this patent is for something large, like whole games, which is what I was getting at.
To be honest, I don’t know how people can even think this would be swappable storage.
They literally bought a cloud service company, and cloud storage is a much easier way to transfer files from one place to another. They can even add the feature to the PlayStation App for added ease of use (linking the app to your nearest PS5 to transfer data quickly and wirelessly for example).
The more feasible possibility for this patent would be proprietary SSD but t...
I think this is without a doubt something that they needed to do. I think it’s safe to say that Xbox One as a leading console is out of the question this generation (with so much talk about an impending next generation in 2 years or less) but this is a positive footnote from Microsoft to it’s fan base. This could mean the next Xbox will launch with stellar titles in the pipeline.
Obviously just outright buying studios doesn’t mean much from a quality perspective, but it sho...
I’m sorry guys, but regardless of who I agree with on this issue, I can’t stop laughing at “PUGB”... I keep picturing a battle royale game with nothing but pugs.
Having played all three in depth, H1Z1 is much more polished than PUBG on XBO. Fortnite is my favorite of them all but if I had to choose between the two realistic ones, H1Z1 would probably be my choice. More fleshed out features, fewer glitches, a lot more players and on top of that, the development studio behind PUBG have left WAY too much negative press in their wake to even see a potential growth in the title. They constantly come off as greedy and constantly complain, as if they invented...
A 10 year PSN veteran and I never got a single treat, except for "The Great PSN Outage of 2011" lol - kinda sucks but I'll be glad to donate the funds Sony isn't gifting me towards more exclusive hits. Hahaha
Hell, even after the Road to PS5 conference, some sites were seemingly trying to confuse people with backwards compatibility. Many were saying that it was extremely limited because Cerny said something along the lines of “most of the highest rated PS4 titles will be playable”.
Come on, really? You really think Sony would go through the trouble of making BC possible if just a few games were compatible? That concept blew my mind, I couldn’t believe Sony had to actually clarif...
