Fable 3 is releasing on PC and on Steam no less. Gears of War 3 on PC is entirely possible.
New Left 4 Dead is possible, but unlikely. Possible because Gabe Newell said himself that the earliest Left 4 Dead 3 would release is 2012, but unlikely because Turtle Rock Studios is currently working on a new IP. Some code fragments found in either Counter-Strike: Source and/or Team Fortress 2 suggested that the name, or at least codename, for this new IP was Whiskey Sour. Sounds like a western theme and it fits in line with the western-themed redesign of Turtle Rock's website that happ...
It was a good game but not spectacular as I was hoping it'd be.
If they had kept the open-world-ish concept back when they announced the game (and it was for PC) I think that would've been interesting, if they pulled it off properly. They probably ditched it because it was too difficult to implement well.
They're screen grabs from a video.
The game's $35 on Amazon, $25 at Best Buy ($35 plus $10 gift card). So if you were hesitating because of the price, don't.
Valve was actually giving Portal away for free not too long ago.
And Steve Ballmer will sends chairs back to you.
Yeah, Valve does what some might consider "crazy" things to get people on Steam. They hired some modders to make Alien Swarm on the Source engine--complete with co-op campaign, voice acting, AI director, mod support, and all that--only to give away the game for free to attract users to Steam.
Gabe Newell has a ridiculous knife collection. He's gonna make the entire office take a couple minutes off and help him peel the potatoes. :P
Afaik, the ESRB never listed Red Dead Redemption as coming to PC.
You don't need to play the first one but you should since it's a really good game. It's more like Neverwinter Nights or Dragon Age.
PC/PS3 is the way to go because you get PC games, 360 games, PS3 games, and even Wii games if you want to invest the time and effort into getting that working.
Portal and Half-Life are set in the same universe.
Most new games have 360 controller support out-of-the-box.
What if Shepard died?
The Witcher 1 for consoles was canceled and The Witcher 2 for consoles has been indefinitely delayed.
Arkham Asylum was pretty great on PC, too.
Looks like a poster or something. Could be temporary box art.
Kinda unfortunate that the water in CryENGINE 3 is pretty much the same as the one in CE2. There may be some slight differences, but they're fairly identical at the core according to the lead engine architect.
Hopefully it's fake because that looks like pretty cheap build quality. The material and texture just look cheap.
