The quote listed is a reads more like a reiteration, not an all out denial. They just mention that it is an exclusive to one console (Xbox 360) and will be coming on the PC next week. Nothing really about if it will remain an exclusive to one console.

I can't really believe any studio that states that they will be making a console exclusive title. This includes all 3rd party studios from Ubi to Square Enix. There is just too much politics and too much business involved to t...

I think dual wielding was a decision to make because of how overly cluttered the controllers would be with all the commands. On top of traditional Halo controls you have to fit somewhere to place a command for triggering your armor and other new features. They may have had to move how you pick up and reload your off hand weapon by changing button mapping when you do pick up two weapons.

In closed testing this may have felt awkward for the testers both hardcore and casual ali...

I think Bungie is in for many many headaches with the upcoming beta. Especially from their own fanbase.

From what I saw. Not much has changed in the line of the pace of the multiplayer. They had to be very careful I'm sure not to make it too radically different from previous Halo experiences.

What worried me was the line: "We're kinda going all in on the multiplayer thing at the moment." when the campaign was mentioned. The Halo series in my eyes...

I'm not sure what they are comparing considering they don't have many in-game shots of Crysis 2 or even a video of Crysis 2 in action on the consoles.

Even if we did don't you think that the question of gameplay should take a front seat to the question of graphics regardless of comparison? If Crysis 2 is played anything like the first one then the game will be doomed to store shelves and only bought by the PC crowd to say the have the "superior version", although I...

Please do not blame the short coming of Final Fantasy XIII as you see them, on the designers. When a company wants to create a game the word comes from the top executives, stating what they want to the director chosen.

The big company looks at the figures. In this case, their western released games are not earning enough. A memo goes to the Director stating that they want the game to be more Western geared to maximize potential sales.

If you are going to b...

I'm curious who they would pick up as the publisher if that were true. They seem too small a company to afford self-publishing their own work.

There is also so much risk. One wrong move and they could find themselves slaves to Activision or EA. I for one don't want to see that happen.

It will be interesting to see what move Insomniac will make on this one.

What bothers me is the methodology about the game.

The creators of the game have stated that they wanted a tail of thrills and suspense but from what I have seen the mechanics of gameplay are contradicting that. They are building the gameplay more toward an action adventure and the atmosphere and story in the realm of suspense and thrills. This combination as far as I am concerned, can't work.

That would depend on what choices Square Enix had made to improve upon the overall experience.

There are also other factors such as subscription price, support, peoples current desire for an MMO, or even for a different Final Fantasy experience.

Thank you for bringing the gameplay up. I've traversed many Alan Wake postings and had yet to find anyone that was willing to bring up the gameplay and discuss that rather than a pointless argument. +Bubbles to you, Sir.

The question on graphics is pointless because there is plenty evidence to show if they are good enough or bad enough for a person to draw their own conclusion.

The question should be, "How is the gameplay?" and I agree from what I hav...

We shall know if there is any truth to these words when DLC is released and we spend a good sum of money for a code to unlock pre-existing content already on the disc.

Things are cut due to editing processes. Things don't work right, an area that throws off pacing etc. Simply cutting content with the goal to resell it to line your own pocket is unacceptable.

I still can't put my finger on what's bothering me about the actual gameplay of this title.

Unfortunately, the gentleman that wrote the article couldn't stop going on about what was happening in the story and the graphics quality to dive more in depth with the actual mechanincs of the gameplay itself.

So many questions left unanswered that I feel should have been answered in a "hands-on".

It is really ashame that no one will stop figh...

I do hate graphics based arguments. What I will argue is the gameplay and in truth I'm not liking the look of it. It's not shaping up correctly in my eyes.

Honestly I thought this was old news.

I could have sworn the developer in a dev journal or in a press interview stated that they were initially going in the direction of a sandbox style game. In the end, choosing to go more linear.

A Kingdom Hearts game every year? That's pretty ambitious. Even more so considering he is involved in other prodjects outside of Kingdom Hearts.

Don't burn yourself out.

The demo is more likely meant for helping players that are on the fence about the title decide wether or not to make a full purchase. I believe the game is already discounted on top of that if you look at some video game retailers.

Reviews and general feedback of the game list it as "mediocre" which says to me that 50% of gamers will enjoy it and the other half will be disappointed. THQ wants it so that all those that may enjoy it actually make a purchase. This rat...

That's under the assumtion that the game will have loads of abilities standard to each class/race of character following the Blizzards World of Warcraft formula.

Unfortunately, we don't know enough about the game. I've only seen trailers and no actual gameplay with an actual HUD and the Beta isn't supposed to start for Korea until spring I believe. However, I suspect something a bit different from the ability riddled Aion/World of Warcraft styles and some more ability lite,...

I'll agree with the man. Though the linear fashion is a staple of nearly all JRPG's. In the beginning of the game you follow the story which lead you through a level curve since the enemies in most JRPG's are a predetermined levels. Even though the game has an open world map the player only gets the freedom to move about anywhere when they are of adequate level.

To give the player freedom to move anywhere you would need to sacrifice pacing in the narrative.

I am not sure I understand the logic of these types of articles. As if you find something else to play you stop being a fan of one thing and instead switch without question to the other.

As if because they stopped playing Halo and played Warfare instead, they stopped being fans of Halo and would have nothing to do with the franchise ever again unless Warfare fumbled.

That being said I don't think Halo Reach's inevitable success will have to do with the under-d...

Its a bit late for this comment...

I hear alot from people raving the graphics. Who's going to get the short end of the stick and who will be standing tall at the end. I haven't however heard a bloody thing about the game and gameplay itself being stepped up from the original.

Rather than harping on and on about the graphics why not dive into what the game will bring to the table as far as mechanics, level design, story, or pacing. A car can look pretty but if...
