I agree they were amazing games but ff is the flagship series that is supposed to lead the way in the entire gaming industry, it doesnt even lead the way out of square enix games
So we owe our wallets to capcom, we should just shut up buy all their games that they cut 60% of the content out to sell as DLC, then we should buy the DLC which includes the beginning and end also we should appreciate the fact that they take classic series and change them to appeal to action fans who have never played a game.

I suppose so but you could only call proffessor layton a true series out of all of them
They need a new series like zelda and mario have become where each game is a classic and when they begin to get repetitive like zelda and mario give them a break and start creating some new classics then they could just keep that cycle going, people would still be getting their favourites every now and then but also plenty of new games
My original broke 2 months after the slim came out so i have that one, sadly
EA are unlikely to do that because they will be trying to force you to buy the next one.
However, hopefully hackers and modders will be able to get their own no DRM server and even expand on the city sizes so EA cant sell you expanded land like theyre trying to do.
As for other games, youre fine if your on pc because of the reasons above but consoles are doooooomed!!!!
