Yeah it appears to still have the same slot on the front that the current slim model has. Mind you, it's not as simple as it is on the Xbox 360 to change/upgrade, so it's unlikely your average Joe will know what to do - especially if you still have to do all that firmware gubbins.
Its an opinion piece, it also clearly states the other reasons for why Sony have done it, it's more about how Gaikai could be arriving sooner than we think and the 16GB model is the entry level.
I think you kinda missed the point of the article.
Also, this is the first time any console manufacturer has redesigned their hardware twice in the same generation, and it isn't going onto market until more Slims sell through so there is room for it on the ma...
I haven't read all the comments here, so it could have already been mentioned, but has nobody thought that another reason for why a 16gb console could be coming to market is because Sony are going to roll out Gaikai onto the system soon?
That would mean totally negating the hard drive space on the console, and - as others have said - would mean those who purchase it could then upgrade to a bigger HDD if they wanted to play non Gaikai streamed games.
It's rock paper scissors at the end of the day. There is strategy to it mind as most enemies go via the same pattern of starting with the same move, or ending with the same move, but towards the end of the game moves just become totally random. Thats when it becomes annoying.
I'd be interested in this, but quite honestly most James Bond games - bar the original Goldeneye and Everything or Nothing - have been pretty dire.
It's definitely looking like it'll shape up to be a fantastic game. If the multiplayer is this good then the singleplayer can only be better, at least thats what you expect from a team like Gearbox.
It's not clumsy to the fact it makes it unplayable, but its not as easy to glide to your choice like you could with the trigger system on the console versions. It doesn't help when you have big hands and your thumb obscures what you're looking for.
Basically it doesn't make a tense situation any less tense.
I must say I'm loving this right now. Having never played MGS 3 before (I know, I know) I can't wait to see what it looks and plays like, but I'm enjoying MGS 2 again. I disagree that it looks like a PS One game - have you seen how bad MGS looks now? - but I do think changing inventory selection to the touchscreen was an idiotic choice, it's just super clumsy.
Good review, and an enjoyable read.
Right... how is this in any way confirmation or a release of details about a Wii U version of Majoras Mask?
What it is is two people who made a video in hope it would convince Nintendo to remake Majoras Mask. So, what this article actually confirms is that the video was fan made and not endorsed by Nintendo, which is what we all already knew, therefore this story is misleading and not actually news.
Also, whoever wrote it might want to make sure their spellin...
Yeah I don't really have the time or money to pick it up really, but I also find so many titles are overhyped and then come out and I just find them rather bland and disappointingly average.
However I do trust the reviewer and their opinion about games, hence why I'm somewhat intrigued, but I feel I'll just get bored of it too quickly.
I'm intrigued by this, it's had pretty good reviews from most places but at the same time I just don't feel interested enough to go and pick it up.
As ShadyDevil says, it makes sense for them to be placing this title first. Having played Anarchy Reigns it's damn good, but I do love a bit of JSR.
pretty easy to soak them up, I got over half in one playthrough and only missed out on a couple due to testing out the various difficulties so didn't finish the game on one mode and so didn't get a trophy for that -.-
A lot are hidden trophies too that didn't unlock by finishing the game so not sure how you get those, but its probably very straightforward.
Seems legit, but also seems strange that they'd insert a sequel to XII so long after its release. Granted they did the same thing for Final Fantasy VII and its revival period.
Yeah I know it isn't I was just talking in general about my favourite online experience.
Yeah its 5 years old, its a macbook so doesn't have a separate GPU so it can't play most 3D games without making them entirely unplayable.
I wouldnt mind giving Diablo 3 a go, annoyingly though my Mac is too old and thus can't run it.
Totes agree with #4 and #2, those are two of the most fun online games around, although I find that I prefer online games that are less competitive as I get fed up of people gloating and getting angry for no reason.
My number 1 - of recent times - has to be Journey. I adore that game.
Wonder why it's EU only. I'll be honest, I've never even heard of Port Royale, so the fact that the third entry in the series has a EU only addition baffles me even more.
Yeah it's really easy to do, and it tells you in the PS3 manual + on the website, but after having worked at GameStation and having to deal with the general public who dont really play games 24/7, many of them were flummoxed - even put off by the idea of - putting a bigger or new hard drive inside a 360, and both iterations of the 360 are painfully easy to put a HDD inside, the PS3 isn't. Thats enough to put off over 50% of consumers, many will buy it and never upgrade the internal me...
