Wouldn't that be my choice? to stay in handful of star systems? My idea of a game is not just sight seeing. I mean as is why would you 'explore' beyond the first (hundred?) planets getting to the center proved pointless... perhaps if they hadn't spread that procedural generation technology over such a ludicrous distance we'd have gotten more interesting and varied worlds, but the point was exploration for the sake of exploration is not enough you need a sufficient game und...
I agree, i was thinking the same thing there's no real incentive to keep going and no reason stay in one place unfortunately the game doesn't have enough depth, it needs better crafting, survival, customization, building, maybe even farming (no one argues that minecraft doesnt work) so you have a reason to stay or revisit planets.
I'd wait for mods, right now its a huge grind as you inch toward the center there's really nothing else to do besides that.
Im going in with a relaxed mentality as well, as a huge fan of sci-fi and old shows like the twilight zone I intend to get the most out of this game as i can. I hope pc mods will only make this game better in the future too.

This is actually pretty exciting as a tech junkie any new hardware is always exciting, bloodborne wouldve been way better at 60 fps, right now im playing dark souls 3 at 1440p at 60fps plus reshade and it is glorious.
Have to agree there specially after beating bloodborne dlc. Im still playing through ds3 and thoroughly enjoying it but so far ds1 is still my favorite its the most put together and consistent of the series both in mechanics and story, DeS had the best atmosphere and world imo, i personally love a medieval theme with dragons and demons... as opposed to zombies. Bloodborne was amazing as well with its monsters and lovecraft vive and the combat is incredibly addictive it just lacked in content ...

Wouldve been fine if there was never a dark souls 2 it is dull and pales in comparison to the other games. Every game in the series has had theme that stood out to me, demons souls was corruption, ds1 was hopelessness, bloodborne was madness, and ds2 was depression...

Yeah wish i hadnt seen this i had stayed away from watching too much of ds3 so far but this trailer showed what i thought was a momentous scene for a ds1 fan -if that was who i think it was.
