I don't usually have time for mods, tampering with files etc, but for this game it is easy and thought I'd see if I could get the most out of the visuals. If you haven't already, install the e3fx v7 Mod. Takes the visuals from already excellent to unbelievable, just by colour correction. PS. There are two versions of the mod, one adds a few other effects (which to me I didn't notice) which cost 5-10fps. The other is simply colour correction which has no fps hi...
Always wait at least 1 month, preferably 2 or 3 from launch before playing any game on PC. Saves the headaches. I know we shouldn't have too but this is the world we live in.
I'm running a 970 but with an AMD 8350. With medium textures and view distance at 0, No HBAO+ or DOF I get 60fps at times but frequent fluctuations between the 30's, then 40's back to 60. Quite unplayable. However if If I play at 4k DSR I get a locked 30fps and can pretty much max the game out!
Could just be using the DS4 for his PC
Unlike when I was younger eager for games to release asap and getting on day one, release dates don't bother me at all anymore. Based on the specs it seems they have done an immense job optimizing the game. Could even be looking at 60fps at 1440p at this rate.
Haha that made me laugh.
And its a fine port as well.
The 970 is an amazing card for the price. Only think that's become a topic recently is games using 4GB+ to max textures. Whether this trend will continue I don't know as I'm not an expert but I'm pretty sure both AMD and Nvidia will be rolling out 6GB+ cards next year as a bit of a standard. Like the Sapphire R9 290X 8GB that you can get now.
Gigabyte 990FXA 8350 @ 4.2Ghz 8GB TeamGroup Elite Black Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming So long as it hits 60 fps constant on High at 1080p I will be happy
Have a 970 too with 8350. Try lowering textures to high too stop/reduce the stuttering. For me run it runs at 60fps with odd stutter but FPS really takes a wack when the action kicks off dropping to 40-45 ish. So I have reduced settings to high all round to avoid these drops. Slightly annoying.
The Boss??!! The Last 5 are better than the top 5, awful list
Shadow or Mordor's recommended specs worried people especially with the 6GB VRAM for Ultra textures, but the game was hugely playable across much lower hardware and a very good port overall. These are recommended specs also to max the game out at 60fps+ and if you want to run above 1080p well too. Just look at the minimum specs, so long as you have a quad core and say an R9 270X equivalent you will be able to play the game at console level settings. Oh an...
"Technically we're CPU-bound," he said. "The GPUs are really powerful, obviously the graphics look pretty good ...We were quickly bottlenecked by that and it was a bit frustrating ...We could be running at 100fps if it was just graphics, but because of AI, we're still limited to 30 frames per second." If this is the case and it is the CPU holding them back then then anyone with say an R9 280X or equivalent and above paired with an i5/i7 or 8350 sho...
It was a let down in the graphics department. Not terrible no, but not where it should have been. The Worse Mod did a great job getting it close.
Completely agree, impressive for the PS3, PS4 looks noticeably sharper due to the resolution but not much else stands out that's a game changer for the PS4 version. Previous gen users should be happy
Yeah I can see that it is that sort of game. Fortunately for me its the former. :)
Great start to the sale, picked up a load of indies for under £3 including 'gone home' which so far is a cracker.
Got so many games from 2012 summer sale still to play!
Obviously not as big titles but I got Hitman absolution for £4.99 3 months after release and Thief just now for £9.99. But I agree they will never discount GTA V by more than 40% for a good 6-12 months I reckon
The ROG GR8 isn't really that much more powerful than the Xbox One and PS4. It has similar performance, slightly above the consoles. The GPU is a 750ti, which is ever so slightly more powerful than the PS4. They tested it on titanfall and BF4 and found it does outperform the Xbox One and PS4 respectively but only just. 1525d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment
