It's definitely an interesting idea. Generally asynchronous is more of a mobile feature, but I can see some serious potential here.
I am definitely interested. There's a charm to Cyanide's games that overcomes their brokenness.
That looks...pretty damn good, actually.
I guess I just have a good spidey sense about these things, 'cause the only disappointing game I've picked up at launch in a long, long time was Duke Nukem Forever. And hey, if you're gonna pick a stinker, might as well pick the worst turd ever.
As the great McBain once said, "that's the joke."
Saw this on Steam yesterday, checking it out now...
@JoySticksFTW Demon's Souls and MGS4 would definitely be worthy of the list as well. It also bugs me that Red Dead Redemption didn't quite make the cut. Ultimately, boiling it down to just 10 is really hard.
It goes without saying that any "best" list is going to be subjective though.
I definitely agree with Bioshock Infinite. But Tomb Raider is looking pretty good as well. Looking like a good month overall, really.
You nailed it. Sony is showing a strong focus on wooing over software developers, and that's what's important. The games.
I also thought it was a really great presentation. Some of the negative reception (not from this article, obviously) that's out there has really surprised me.
3DS has turned out to be a great little handheld. But I do have to wonder what Nintendo has planned next. The various phones and pads of the world are just going to become tougher and tougher competition...
I feel like this game should have been scarier. Compared to the first AVP it was kid's stuff.
Pretty stoked to hear that this turned out well, I worried there for a while.
As an aside, I still can't think of Dante without thinking of Clerks (or Alighieri).
Yeah, the way services like Yelp and Metacritic deal with user scores is definitely problematic. It would be interesting if certain games had a Metacritic API built in, where it gave players the option to rate the game directly from the menu. At least then we'd get a far less biased sample.
I can't wait to play this, it's looks damn good.
