PlayStation IS, by leaps and bounds, Sony's strongest division. So yeah, the title itself confuses Sony with SCEA, and besides that, there's more than enough room for TWO games of a genre in the industry.
"Oh dear God, no, there's ONE OTHER Smash Bros.-style game out there? THIEVEZ!!"
I see no reason why they *need* to make it like anything. Isn't the whole idea to carve a new path in the genre? Instead, The Elder Scrolls Online looks to simply be taking the tried-and-true MMO WoW formula and applying it to TES fiction.
There's always room for pioneers, and I don't want ZeniMax to fall back on MMO conventions for one of the most important games ever.
Wow, color me completely disinterested in this game. The colors, the third-person hotkey combat, skill trees that limit your options; that is not Elder Scrolls.
That would be great, but I have a hard time seeing it happen. Bethesda gonna have their hands full just fixing all the bugs in the PC and Mac release, amiright?
Metal Gear Solid is America's Metal Gear Solid.
The best I can say is that 3D adds a lot to aiming-down-sight - It really does feel like you're looking down the physical barrel of a gun. Other than that, 3D doesn't mesh well with the bright color contrast of Black Ops.
We'll see - the Vita can handle PS3-level graphics (especially CoD quality), so direct port of Black Ops that PS3 and Vita gamers can play online against each other is possible. That sounds like a system-seller to me.
I totally agree with you there. CoD4:MW was the pinnacle of fast-paced shooter action with next-gen spectacle and a competent plot. Thoroughly enjoyable, until its sequels ran the formula into the ground.
Could be the start of something exciting, but it's all speculation for now.
So many of the characters mentioned above are just guns, guns, guns... Master Chief? Marcus Fenix? Joanna Dark? Welcome to a camptastic awful-fest.
And, let's be fair. Even Xbox loyalists don't give a damn about half the characters mentioned there. MS excels at shooters, and little else.
I'm sorry, but Grand Theft Auto V doesn't need to bow to any of those games. Rockstar will release it whenever they feel like.
Character conjecture and possibilities here:

The article never claims to offer anything more than speculation about character possibilities, given that SuperBot *Confirmed* that the promo is "foreshadowing" for All-Stars. If any given character shown has a 50 percent or Greater chance of being playable, isn't it worth discussion?
That would be seriously meta! Lol
Wow. Thank you for the kind words :)
If new Orbis games used serial key activation in the same way that PC games do, Sony wouldn't make any money from used sales. Locking off certain game content on a used disc, and getting $10 or whatever for unlocking it, is something that benefits both Sony and new game consumers (who are free to install the game on their HDD and sell the disc back for profit).
If this turns out to be true, I can't wait. As long as Bethesda continues to offer engrossing singleplayer-only experiences, I really can't complain. Skyrim will continue to impress for a LOOOONG time.
I can't wait for this game!
Anyone who's played Journey, or watched the Kara demo, knows that this claim is BS.
I hope so, if only because it's time for Sony to make do on their promises for remote play and (especially) cross-compatibility between PS3 and Vita. This new IP would be the perfect demonstration for third-parties as well.
