Oh so because it's old we shouldn't talk about the game anymore. Right, right.
The best criticism comes months if not *years* after the fact. But most people are only interested in consumer reviews, which are absofuckinguseless for the medium as a whole.
He could respond if you posted these thoughts oooon the article, y'know. ;)
Uh, considering those aspects ARE a part of the game, why wouldn't I talk about them? You seem to have a very narrow definition of what is 'the actual game'. In any case, there's not too much to expound on when it comes to the puzzle parts, you need to realize that. That doesn't mean they're not good, I noted those segments are addicting, but it's like reading or writing about Portal. The puzzles are great. Even so, most of what you read are not on the puzzles them...
What you are talking about is somewhere where it is 'proven' that the mechanic was BROKEN. I am talking about the many instances where things are NOT broken, but people whine instead of learning how to play the game.
To be clear: the earlier post on N4G says that it was announced, with no indication of what it is. This says what it is, in addition to giving some stats.
Are you implying they didn't take her character into account the first time through? I find that difficult to believe.
Microsoft is actively pursuing a platform as an entertainment service--so much so that they announced it just a couple of day sago. This is reflective of the many other changes we've already seen started taking hold in the industry.
He's speaking of the general state of games; outliers do not change the general gist of what he's saying!
You're saying the WSJ would lie/publish a rumor? They're the source the post is calling from.
"a game that is indistinguishable from a film" seems like a deeply troubling thing to me. Games should not strive to be films.
"Not only that, we tend to be appeasers…it’s okay if a game falls short of exploring anything meaningful if it plays well, so games do not need to take risks in making meaningful experiences if we’re satiated with technical/mechanical decency"
oh my god finding reviews of this game is IMPOSSIBLE...thanks for reviewing!
how bout you try reading what you quoted. they specifically stated this is NOT happening, but that if it hypothetically did, that it would pose unique advertising opportunities.
then perhaps you should reconsider the hobby of gaming, a complete and utter luxury, altogether. if 10 dollars poses a problem I don't think it would be a stretch to say that you probably shouldn't be wasting any money on online services--older pricepoint or no.
Therefore that's a shitacular excuse. If you care about saving your money the 10 dollar pricehike should be the least of your problems, because then you'd realize that you should probably be cutting ou...
Because that must be the only reason the pricing for a service has changed only once in 8 years.
I'm pretty sure it's being criticized just as much as it's being defended.
Interesting you should mention it, but yes, I do think that the day that COD starts charging online will be a good day. Why? Because in that situation, having all users pay what is the usual "full price" of a game and having their dollars go toward features they may not use is not logical. Having a subscription model means that everyone else can, ideally, pay less for the actual game because they're not going to use the features, and those who are can pay for the increased devel...
I'm fine with criticism, it was just hard not to read what you wrote as a trollish post--I apologize. Thanks for the welcome.
Yes? Because I state that the pricing plan probably shouldn't be what it currently is, and that they aren't accomodating to the needs and expecations of the entire userbase?
They did it! Crazy stuff.
