@ DJStotty: Defensive? All out defense, deny and deflect mode? What are you talking about, I was just giving some additional information from the Jim Ryan interview, don't see what's so defensive about that...
In the recent Nikkei interview, Jim Ryan said that they do not rule out the option of acquisitions like Insomniac. https://www.reddit.com/r/PS...
By my definition, a game that is a port from a game on another platform simply isn't an exclusive.
That's not an exclusive. It's a port of a 3DS game. I recently bought the game for less than 5 euros for the 3DS.
Which one?
90% of PlayStation users probably don't even know who Jim Ryan is, and don't care. They just want to play good games, and that's what they're getting. Returnal and Ratchet & Clank just in the next few weeks.
Why are you even here? This is article about a PS5 exclusive. Go play your superior PC.
The game looks amazing. And the Ratchet & Clank games are always very fun to play.
"It's not about monetisation, it's about engagement for players."
Sure. It's out of the kindness of their hearts.
"It’s not a huge thing, but combined with the rest of what Returnal does well, you begin to see the power of console exclusives; Returnal is doing things with the DualSense controller that I’ve never experienced in a game, and it’s yet another indication that the controller may be the best part of the PlayStation 5 hardware."
Sounds promising!
Gamepass may be part of it, but Japanese games in general always sell a lot less on Xbox. Usually the split is around 80 - 20 in favor of PlayStation, so this time it's even higher. This is also one of the reasons that I don't really believe rumors about MS buying up Japanese studios like Sega or Square. The audience for those games just isn't really there on Xbox.
Imagine my surprise.
Just finished the first Ryza game last week. I'm planning to get the sequel as well.
You should give it a try, really fun series.
Also confirmed a State of Play in 3 days!
"Want to see more? We’re pleased to announce that Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is the focus of PlayStation’s next State of Play. And it’s just three days away."
True, but the point is they could've made more if the circumstances had been different. At least, that's what I get from this: https://www.bbc.com/news/ne...
The Professional Troll.
It's well known that the pandemic has caused problems for the production of consoles. They sell out instantly and people have a difficult time getting their hands on them. They simply can't produce enough to meet demands. So yes, in terms of console sales I'm pretty sure it hurts them more than they benefit from it (for games it's a different story).
@ rakentaja: Gamepass isn't free. It's a paid service.
@ DJStotty: justify what purchase? I actually own a Switch.
