Yes there are plenty of good JRPG's...in previous generations. This console generation.....not so much.
There are plenty of good western RPG's. The question is, where are all the good JRPG's?
Overall I agree with this sentiment. However, I don't mind day one DLC if it's free for those that bought the game new and costs extra for used copies. It's an incentive to buy the game new, kinda like preorder bonuses.
I'm mixed on DLC. In some cases it really extends the life of a game, making me come back to something that I might have otherwise traded in or kept but is sitting around collecting dust.
But it really depends on the quality and type of DLC. You'll never get my to buy garbage like character skins, outfits, or anything that doesn't have a real content advantage to it.
Also, the "I'm not buying the game until they release the version that...
So long as this allows for competition and not just a switch to 2K away from EA. Competition is good for the industry, but 2K Baseball (the one series they have the exclusive license for) is junk.
No doubt Dragon Age is sub-par in the graphics department. But that doesn't hold it back from being extremely well written and tactically challenging.
They announced when they released Witch Hunt that it was the last batch of DLC for Dragon Age: Origins.
Yeah, I've already bought and played all of the Dragons Age: Origins DLC. Most of it is pretty good. But if you're basically getting it all for free it's a great deal, especially when you consider Awakening was $40 by itself.

The original post by Major Nelson has been corrected. Halo: Reach was 2nd, Halo 3 was 3rd. As such, this article should be updated to acknowledge the error.

Thanks you. We pride ourselves on not playing favorites to either major system. A good game is a good game, regardless of who makes it.
We only played through it once, but the ending we got was pretty lame.
Yeah, I liked Kameo. It wasn't the best game I ever played, but good luck finding many great 3D platformers this gen besides the Ratchet games.
Not only is your pricing information wrong, but you don;t even have the correct date of the official announcement by Major Nelson. he didn't announce it "last Week," he annoucned it yesterday. All you've gotta do is follow up on his web blog:

You cannot in good faith compare the MSRP to pricing found on Amazon.com and be taken seriously.
I can only assume Xander must be confusing the official 360 controller with the Madcatz copies, or some other no name brand piece of junk that's going to break on you in 3-6 weeks. Cause the numbers he's coming up with are complete BS.
You can buy a lot of things at lower than the suggested retail price. But the suggested retail price of every 360 controller with the play and charge kit is $64.99.
Go to any store and you will see that that's the standard price for any official 360 controller that includes the play and charge kit. So if it's no more expensive than any of the other official 360 controllers, it is not "too expensive" unless your making an argument that ALL controllers are too expensive.
Now one could certainly argue those merits, as well as whether or not we all need ANOTHER standard play and charge kit laying around that we're not ...
I really don't see how this has anything to do with this story.
