I've used Xbox Live on a near daily basis and I haven't heard any "American teenagers" since 2008. Party chat means that for me, there is zero trash talk or abuse on Xbox Live. Oh, and most PS3 owners do not have mics, therefore no teamwork.
This is from last year: "ShopTo sees 'highest pre-orders for a console' in their history, thanks to Wii U" http://gonintendo.com/?mode...
Nintendo quadrupled its market share from Gamecube to Wii, while the Xbox tripled its market share from Xbox to 360. SONY on the other hand lost 50% of its market share generation to generation. SONY can't afford another disaster like that. I think now that the Xbox is an established brand, SONY will have a hard time ever dominating the console wars like the PS2 did. The PS4 will be judged a success if it can keep up with the growth of Microsoft and Ninte...
Drive club...the last game in recent memory with as much flop potential was Playstation All-Stars. WEAK line up. I want at least one game actually worth the $60 price tag. EDIT - haha one bubble troll below
No SONY doesn't. SONY loves me and I love SONY that's why I'm supporting them next gen. SONY very obviously doesn't give a **** about money.
As of now its not looking like it. More third party developers will come on board once the next Xbox is announced and we'll see greater multiplatform support on the PS4, which is where the best Playstation games typically are anyway.
Root... You gotta realize that SONY cares just as much about money as every other company does. Actually they probably care more about it since they've been losing so much of it lately. The PS4 needs to pull in Xbox 360 kind of money if there's any hope of seeing a PS5 one day.
Kudos for Sony for ditching the 15 year old Dualshock in favour of a more 360-like device.
Sony didn't (couldn't possibly) live up to the hype and now all eyes fall on Microsoft. Will they aim higher, as the PS3 did over the Xbox? Or will they aim lower, like the two year old tech in the PS4? First stop on the hype train.
Yoshida's crypted response only after speaking with his PR staff is indicative enough for me. SONY will allow used games, but only if you pay them first. That's enough for me to make the next Xbox my primary console if true. Get this through your head, SONY: We're not rebuying our games
The PS4 has prematurely blown its load.
I disagree. With little substance to show, SONY clearly displayed that this conference was poorly prepared. The PS4 conference had no PS4. I think we'll remember this for generations to come TBH. I'm afraid the lack of details have caused what SONY exactly didn't want to happen: hype for Microsoft's next console. Things are already dying down for the PS4 and the hype train for the next xbox has begun and Microsoft has yet to even confirm its existence.
uhh no. SONY hasn't pulled out of its current financial "downward spiral". The title should simply state that they are sinking lower. PS4 should get SONY back on its feet to the glory days of the PS2.
I'm praying Guerrilla Games isn't lying to us again. Killzone 2 was awesome, but no where near the first "gameplay" trailer GG showed. Edit: lol they "confirmed" that at E3 2005 as well.
The PS3 was handicapped this gen with its inferior RAM, I'm glad to see Sony rectifying the issue.
"So if someone buys a PlayStation 4 game, I asked, you're not going to stop them reselling it?" "Aaaah," was Yoshida's initial answer, but seemingly only because he'd forgotten his line. "So what was our official answer to our internal question?" he asked his Japanese PR advisor. The advisor stepped in but didn't seem to answer clearly, at least to my ears. Yoshida then took control again firmly: "So, used ga...
Internation press seems to think otherwise. The PS4 didn't show up at the PS4 conference. What the hell, SONY? I hope they're better prepared at E3
I'm so pumped. It's a disappointing end to a generation I'm sure SONY will want to quickly forget, but on to new beginnings:D I want another PS2 gen!
lol every year is supposed to be the year of the PS3 and it hasn't happened yet. I remember last year how 2012 was supposed to be said year, and all we got out of it was a 2 hour game! The beginning of the year always looks promising, but somehow the Xbox 360 or PC always pull out ahead in the end. I'm gonna come out and say 2014 will be the year of the PS3.
