Thanks for for reading. It's not just Titanfall that is making me buy the system. But rather it's the first game that is making me pull the trigger on it. As I said in the article, I do love the Xbox brand and has they not reversed their policies, I would be owning only a PS4 this generation.

So technically, I'm putting out on the second date;) #1.2.1

The "Them" in the title are fans of the policy before the reversal. The "us" are people like me, who are fans of the way things are now. #10.1.1

I absolutely believe Titanfall 2 will be on PS4. MS is investing in this one game. EA probably didn't go for franchise exclusivity because they wanted to see how this plays out. With the PS4 outselling the Xbox One, in 2 - 3 years you are looking at what could be triple or quadruple the current install base, if not more. That's a lot of money to leave on the table and would require a LOT of money for MS to pony up to keep it off of PS4.

That said, I think MS even kno... #38

MS is a company that wanted to restrict used games and make us check in once every 24 hours to make sure we paid them for the game we're playing.

Sorry, but you can't really be that surprised that they aren't offering something more. In their mind the US was a lock. So far it hasn't been.

Thankfully, desperate times call for desperate measures so I'm reaping the benefits of it because I'll getting Titanfall for free with the console in... #26

They didn't remove the dirt and blood though. I just played it for PS4 like 3 times. She's bloody and dirty through the whole game. #6.1

@TheGreatAndPowerful

It's because people see this as not only a rip-off but also, like the article said, likely set a bad precedent. Trying to be vocal about it to raise awareness of the problem is only beneficial to us as gamers and more importantly consumers.

The way game companies have turned our beloved hobby into money making schemes is downright disgusting. If this sells well it sends a message that it's OK and you can bet all $40 and then some... #5.1.2

The mechs and parkour would mean that it doesn't play just like COD though, wouldn't it? #2.2

Let's put it this way. Has there been a game that has matched Call of Duty in terms of success or influence? Nope. Like it or not, Call of Duty set a bench mark for online MP and has influenced tons of games after it and yet none of the games it has influenced has matched it.

Take any hate of the franchise out of the equation and this is undeniably true.

Titanfall is expected to be the next game to do this. #1.4.1

He's saying the only way to fix it is releasing it every 2 years and I'm saying that there is a different COD title, with a different story being released every 3 years. Why is it best to wait every 2 years? How is not releasing one every year from a different developer going to "fix" it? #3.2.2

Uhm. IW and Treyarch do release their COD games every 2 years. Now it will be every 3 for each studio. #3.2
