It's so interesting the way videogames are able to, not only be a way to escape everyday lives, but also allow people to grow and learn. Nice article.

I don't think they matter, if they did then the the amount of sales for the Wii, 360, and P3, would be reversed seeing as how the Ps3 has the best quality, followed by the 360 and then lost in the distance is the Wii. However, the Wii and handhelds easily sell more than the giant HD systems.

I'm hopeful for full liquidation. I could use some new toys for dirt cheap.

@ fan_of_gaming
There need to be a couple sup-categories in there. I own the 3 main consoles, and older systems, but I don't play religiously. There are spurts here and there where I'll play many hours in a week but then sometimes I wont pick up a controller for a while, so there should be another category; one step under hardcore. As well, many system fanboys own more than one system because most fanboys, oddly enough, are hardcore gamers (I would say).

I like the idea. I think it's a good idea. Lots of people back their stuff up onto internet servers from their computer, why not video game systems? Considering game downloads come from their respective servers, xbox live, psn, why not back them all up to one single location where you can go and retrieve them in a time of need. This idea will also help with individuals who aren't too savvy with backup drives, how to format them, use them, etc. All the "non-gamers" will have the...
