I did not grow up with video games, they grew up with me

Good point. For every quality remake like "Pac Man Championship Edition" there are several bad releases (then there are the decent titles like "NES Remix" and "Ducktales")The only place I have seen consistent quality is in the area of Intellivision homebrew cartridges like "D2K Arcade" and "Ms. Pac Man." Too bad these cost upwards of 100 bucks per. game...

Looking forward to Splatoon. Nintendo is thankfully continuing their long history of great summer releases!

Well said. Although I am sure many disagrees with follow... My Xbox One and PS4 are collecting dust right now and the only 2 games I have on preorder are The Master Chief Collection for XBONE and NHL 15 for PS4.

Ha! Great catch(and it shows that you actually read something before posting about it)! I corrected the site but the N4G intro will have to stay. I guess that 10 years of college didn't improve my addition skills at all... Rest assured, my review scoring is spot on and, as you say, this game is a solid 10/10.

alright... we do need Wii U sequels for Fzero and Starfox but there have been multiple entries for both franchises in previous consoles and handhelds. Heck, i'd be happy if Starfox 2 came out on the Virtual Console. From what I understand it was all but complete for the SNES.

Don't get me wrong I loved the Dreamcast but I had already logged many an hour of online gaming on my SNES (XBAND) before Sega did it with the Saturn Netlink...

EDIT- I know the Genesis had XBAND too. Let's give props where props are due; XBAND was the pioneer of online console gaming.

I bought the original Nights on release day and still have the pillow case that came as a bonus for doing so. It was the last game to even broach the possibility of being a true "Mario killer" (and to think the Mario it was up against was Mario 64...). The sequel is a bit of a downer but I did play through it, the game does have some decent qualities(I think the Guardian Heroes "sequel" on the GBA was actually a bigger travesty). @TheRacingX don't forget Bug and Clockw...

@ Prime. The XBOX One Version still requires an XBOX Live Gold subscription to play the game, including the offline mode. Most retailers (including Best Buy and Amazon) have the box cover of the XBOX One version showing "XBOX Live Gold Subscription required. Sold separately" printed on the cover. I contacted Pop Cap and was told the game cannot be player w/o Gold.

@ all disagrees, the box cover for the XBOX One Version clearly states, "Requires XBOX Live Gold. Sold separately." Which, incidentally, was the reason I contacted Popcap in the first place. No Gold = No PVZGW.

I contacted PopCap about this. They said the XBOXOne has offline play but it still requires a Live Gold subscription...

I still have hundreds of games and multiple consoles myself. This past Christmas my little brother and I fired up Burgertime on the NES and HeMan on Intellivison- it was like a time machine.

The PSP sold 80 million units? Holey Moley!

Right on... you are setting the stage for an Abrahamic sequel, too.

It would make for a great experience should it be done true to the Pentateuch. El Shaddai used the book of Enoch from the Apocrypha but set it in an other worldly, almost futuristic, setting. Anyone who doesn't think that Moses' story, whether you believe it to be true or not, wouldn't be an awesome video game experience needs to read it. Egyptian slavery, murder, exile, pillars of fire, casting down plagues, mystical mountains, brother turning against brother, rebellion from with...

I started using a 12 x 12 marble tile under my PS3 after I had to pay to get it fixed a few years ago. So, on Friday I stopped at Home Depot and dropped 4 bucks on another tile for my new PS4. Marble stays cool and fits well beneath both consoles. Plus, you can get any color to match your shelf.

All things considered, the Wii U had a great launch lineup too.

Soul Calibur, NFL 2K, Sonic Adventure, none of these on the list? The author must not have had a Dreamcast.

I didn't experience any screen tearing or game breaking bugs on Wii U. As for load times, the game takes a bit to initially boot but once it is running there was nothing out of the ordinary.

this begs the question; what is deadliest video game accesory? Steel Battalion controller? a well placed swing of the original XBOX "Duke" controller? smothering with a DDR pad? The skateboard from Tony Hawk Shred?

You are correct! Even when the SNES and Genesis battle (some say 16bit was the golden age) was in full force, there was a plethora of knock-off, third rate, platform and fighting games. The article mentions one of them (from the 3DO)- Gex, as though it were something special. Yet, today I have a massive collection of SNES and Genesis games that has tons of variety. The same can be said for my Wii, PS3, DS, & 3DS collections.

Also, Sonic Racing Transformed is excellent.
