The video is all in game, using the exact same engine. The new update will have the option to bring up your music library, of course. If you ask me, I'd say Killzone 2 will overtake Halo 3 as hottest game, because with Halo 3 you know what you are going to get, and Killzone, well, lets just say Guerrila has done a good job so far of proving to everyone that they can get the job done and make new waves in the industry. This trailer is a hit. #173

Been there, done that?
The game looks good, and the glitches I understand are predominantly hiccups in the code that the demonstrator wasn't supposed to encounter. What bothered me was that I no longer see the game as being quite the original shell-shock experience I once thought. The camera, coupled with chase scene is familiar except for the rafter jumping which looked fun, but when he was ambushed and he spoke (voice acting isn't that great?!) the battle system reminded me too much of, well, every other adventur... #44

A marriage made in hell
Halo and Killzone 2, a marriage made in hell.

Killzone 2 is gritty, drops you right in the slum of an alien industrialized wasteland, and lets you watch your friends go up in a horrific bubbling firey drop-shop explosion. Halo 3 drops you gracefully into a lush alien world that teems with light. Killzone 2 takes out the lights when you least expect it, whereas Halo 3 glints with shine, and leaves few shadows in which to hide. The alien race in Halo 3 is purposefully much differ... #158

Well...
I believe they are making a statement with this console. Halo 3 is XBOX, and they may as well have an XBOX that is painted after the systems best selling franchise. Speaking of franchise, notice that the system itself is the merchandise, the accessory to Halo 3. Usually they'll release different looking controllers, sometimes gold games (Zelda, anyone?) but the core system itself being sold with the color scheme of master chiefs armor? I wouldn't buy it for fear of being someone Microsoft kno... #40

Amazing
I think we are in better standing, just a little bit, of judging this game since the first screen shot was released. Look closely at the graphics, and you'll see this game is packing a lot more technology than gears of war. IGN says the lighting is pre-canned but none of it is. Guerrilla has been working with a company that specializes in lighting systems for this game. When IGN says this lighting is the most impressive, they mean most impressive. Texture detail looks really good even for suc... #147

Lock and Load
This murkily taken, un-showy shot seems very, very curiously "leaked" and placed on the internet for people to start debating, especially while Microsoft had their presentation tonight. The polarizing nature of the subject is unforeseen, I've never before witnessed hype of this magnitude. I just watched the Halo 3 campaign trailer, and I was not surprised by the visuals. They were what I expected, which isn't to say I expected them to be the best or the worst, they are "Halo-gr... #216

It is on!
I just watched the conference on G4tv.com and thought it played nice and smooth on the megatronasaurus screen. Halo 3 did not disappoint, and I think fans are going to be satisfied with the new game. I'm surprised Bungie didn't show off their next project, or that there weren't more surprises coming from in-house developers. My one gripe is that from what I saw on the low res g4tv site the campaign mode doesn't match up well with the screen shot released not too long ago. With that aside, Hal... #17

There are more than 110 million PS2 owners waiting for a reason to buy the PS3. Let the games of this year's E3 be the reason to buy one. #212

look closely at the bottom of the soldiers boot... Is this soldier 3 feet tall? what's going on?! Not that it really matters, but I just noticed. #194

The red light next to the soldier is a decal left by a bullet impact, the lighting is cast from the muzzle of the firearm as well as from the bullet itself. If you ask me I would say I am a little disappointed, but future screen shots will be more impressive, I have a feeling. Sometimes bad screen shots pop up. #192

I'm not sure what happened with this game's development, because it certainly showed more promise previously.. The in game camera reminds me more of Hydro Thunder, and the sense of speed doesn't seem to be there. Let's hope it shapes up before it ships out. #5

This game is covert
Phil Harrison himself said the game is surpassing the trailer in some aspects now. I wonder what he could have meant by that. I have been hunting for news and any info on this game for the past two years, and I applaud Sony for not letting too much of the buzz escape. Before now I was a little worried about the Killzone 2 presentation, but now knowing Sony is spending a Lord of The Rings amount of time (almost 3 hours) showing us the goods, well, as a company you never do that with a product... #31

Cool
I love following supercomputer news, and it is always interesting to see what they use when they are scaling processes over an array of units. What I am truly curious about is why they chose the PS3 cell processor as the base unit, and what advantages the Cell provides when selected and optimized. #11

This game will be amazing! If you check out the old tech demos of it from years back, you'll see it has been development for longer than the PS3 existed! This is one of the oldest demos of the game, and they stripped down the AI for difficulty purposes. As with Warhawk, I suspect the Heavenly sword showing at E3 will unveil further refined and polished un-boring gameplay! I don't think they call this Goddess of War for nothing! #16

Even though this could look like the format war is heating up again, it isn't, which will in the end be good for everyone. Although these Chinese players may be released at competitive prices, you will only see Universal movies being released for them. Blu Ray has the backing of all of the other major movie studios, as well as Netflix and Blockbuster... Now for the 360 to release a Blu Ray add-on... #13

My brother has been playing Halo online for years, but when I asked him if he's played through the campaign, he said "no." I asked a little further, and he said from all that he has heard the single player experience is not that enthralling, and the ending is another cliffhanger type thingamabob. Killzone 1 didn't even have online multiplayer did it? #68

How do you 1 up someone on a broken console
If you think Sony doesn't care about gaming, and has released a system just to push Blu ray, look at Microsoft, the lumbering giant of Operating Systems and computer industry. It is tapping into all of the same markets, and wouldn't you say Xbox 360 to Windows Vista functionality is a plug for another of their products? How about game industry analysts who believe Microsoft wanted to exploit another audience by releasing competitive home gaming platforms? Sony started as a company in an apart... #61

This article isn't a report
This article claims to be unbiased, but presents information that does not check well with current sources. The title of the article itself is a biased comparison of two systems on the market. The fact that it focuses on PS3 with scant tid bits of information leads me to believe that yes, this is yet another biased comparison of two systems sold almost a year apart. Of course Sony has work to do, and XBOX 360 has sold more in its longer history in release. E3 and the subsequent surprises for... #58

This is reminding me of something else... A long long time ago, in a gamescape that included 32 bit systems with RISC processors and CD-based operation. Sonys controller was going through adolescence. The original controller, rumble-free, roamed the households of people worldwide as they careened through the jungles of Crash Bandicoot and Wipeout XL. Then came Dual Shock, and everything changed. People went out and bought the Dual Shock (I'd call it the DS but that would be confusing) and soo... #23
