The d-mic helps too, you can find the bird and hear him snoring when he falls asleep lol. If you're patient it's not that hard to hold him up and get his photosynthesizing camo.

maybe you didn't like dungeon siege 3-- but it was definitely NOT a buggy game. if you think so poorly of them, why bother buying their games? why even bother commenting on stories like this? and the only reason i'm "crying" about how much time they get is because when your QA process gets axed, it's obviously going to have a massive negative impact on the final product. if you take the time to fully soak in their work, you'll find some of the best writing in the...

you clearly didn't play dungeon siege 3. also, they're building with this unity + their own toolsets, and the backgrounds are all 2D. this is a labor of love, with no publisher forcing it out the door within a 12 month window like kotor 2 and new vegas.

I know the kickstarter page doesn't factor in paypal, but I'm not sure what the final total is.

also worth noting they have about 140k additional in paypal contributions.

QUACKSHOT!! That game was amazing. So many good memories.

I'm in the same boat as you. I think a big part of it is, for me, having come off fallout new Vegas before playing skyrim made me truly disappointed in the lack of narrative cause and effect in skyrim. I wanted to kill maven black-briar in riften just to see what happens, so I sneak in to her place completely undetected, stab her in the back, and get the message "maven black-briar is unconscious." Really?? For a game that touts player freedom and is a bastion for emergent storyt...

No wasteland 2?

I was wondering when the speedruns would start popping up.

I took a stealth/action approach and beat the game-- now I'm replaying and doing no kill/no alerts, and I'm enjoying it much much more, despite having a more limited toolset. Though I freaking loved it the first time through, so it's all relative.

I'm a UofM fan too, and as much as I hate OSU, I have to admit that this is the best marching band halftime show I've ever seen, and I've been going to college football games annually for at least 20 years. The Zelda horse is EXTREMELY impressive.

The fact that Amnesia isn't on anyone's list makes me sad.

I started seeing commercials for it during e3 and they haven't seemed to slow since.

It's a tricky list to make, for sure. Do you judge it overtly, or by the limitations of the platform it's exclusive to or leads on? Something like Battlefield 3 or Max Payne 3 on PC is unmatched by anything; yet neither managed to give me the feeling of awe that I felt while playing Uncharted 2 and 3 on PS3. MGS4 isn't a bad choice for #1, even if I may not agree. There's plenty to nitpick, yet visually, it adds up to more than the sum of its parts.

Dude, new vegas has some of the best writing of this generation. Especially the DLCs, which tie the events of the game back to fallout 2 in an exceptionally clever way.

People, calm down. They have their own engine now. Did any of you play dungeon siege 3? In my experience it was completely bug-free.

I'm at 250 hours and counting, I still play all the time. I consider Lonesome Road more of an endgame than the dam, it's amazing from a narrative standpoint. They explain the courier's past without managing to imply anything about the quality of the character you've created, and it fully realizes New Vegas as a true follow-up to fallout 2 in a very clever way.

Inevitable disagreement with #1 coming soon.

He's comparing it in terms of design, not themes. He's basically saying that the structure of the games are similar, and that both games account for multiple play-styles.
