Another fluff article that fails to look backward,

If Blu-Ray sales mean it should be canned, then in retrospect DVD was dead in the water for nearly a decade.

Blah, blah blah, cost... great argument but adjusted for inflation DVD'd when they premiered cost a lot more than BD now, as did the players.

Think anyone could tell the quality difference from 480 to 480P(the only real advancement due to DVD)? Nope, but they felt it wasn't worth the switch then, ...

So Ubuntu is superior in every way but the guy decides to stick with Mac, because it's "beautiful." Wow, just when I was convinced the world could not get any dumber.

I did really like the game, but yes the new controls are far more refined. But, I honestly feel it has more to do with the intuitive nature of the controls as most are so used to analogue now.

I pick up games astoundingly quick, so despite being irritated at first, I got used to the sixaxis theme quite quickly and enjoyed it. I can see how most people would hate it though, aside from the Left/Right/Up/Down the rest of the control commands were really not very intuitive.

I always turned it off anyway. It never did anything for me but distract me from the game. I was one of the few who was glad to see it go. I just hope the intro of the DS3 does not mean the discontinuation of the Sixaxis as I hated having to shut it off every time lol.

I got a feeling this DX10 fiasco has something to do with it as well, not many people really gave a crap and just sat on what they had until it's worth buying into. No point in dropping $600+ on a dx10 card when hardly any games use it.

But the best thing about T1 was it was sycned, 1.5 up AND 1.5 down, while Comcasts services are all A-sync (my 8meg DL is great but averaging uploads of 300-700k is a PIMA whenever I'm uploading projects for school, work, and updates to the web-pages I manage for my friends, motor-club, and job.) Plus (at my work at least, I heard it scaled to the number of connections but we never noticed at all) for some reason if you had 5-6 compies on the same connection over T1 you didn't notice much dif...

Living stateside (and in the Mpls./St.P metro area) I agree, but not re-throttling their tiers is a deal breaker for me. I love the advancement and if I was not going back to school might be tempted(not enough though). I would love to see them throttle their 8 meg to a 10/1 (8mbps/756 is a bit low imho for what I pay)connection at the same price, intro a 25/2 or 25/3 at around $90/month and keep their 50/5 around its price point until they make their investment back and reduce all tiers after...

As with all major leaps in tech, I'm gonna take this with a grain of salt.

I remember over a decade ago, the World Wide Web was soon going to revolutionize the way everything was done, yet today it is only really starting to be worthwhile for a number of the applications that they predicted would happen in less than two years. I remember just about a decade ago things called DSL and Broadband cable would be rolled out to the farthest corners of the earth and totally replace all ...

All the kiddies who need their hands to shake in order to tell that they are getting shot, are so far from real gamers it isn't funny.

Real gamers recognized last gen that having a vibrator in their controller made no difference and shut it off.

And they can continue their production of the SixaxiS, as I am not fool enough to waste money on a feature I could get from any proper adult video store for cheaper.

I cant beet these new games!!!! I'm gonna cry about it, Bring back side scrolling!!!! Boo hoo!!!

STFU - I like my old games too, and like you wish I had more of them still coming out, but I have no need to give up my buttons, 3d, stealth, destructible environments, I can play just fine thanks you skill-less hack! I will agree with you about the lens flare though (lol, stupid gimmick to make sure I get shot).

I love RPG's, I don't mind turn based, I like action ones too, ATB wasn't bad either.....basically just don't expect to hand me the same thing time after time, I think thats why I like FF games, every game changes the gameplay and systems, figuring it all out well becomes it's own challenge.

I think this guy is just angry because he has no sense imagination and like all his favorite Holly Wood movies feels the plot should have an easily defined start-middle-conclusion format that...

It's at the end of the credit roll on PS2's Summoner. Most of those playing are characters in the game.

There were only 4 people I really worried about during beta.
In order of the trouble they were.....
CastleKingSide
Enebreated
ArtemisBane
and Click (simply because he was always on...... seriously)

Man I miss the unrestricted pistol fire rate, It was nice taking out 5 people with machine guns with just a pistol and a fast finger lol :)

27th time I have read about the PS3 getting "hacked" with absolutely no result or usefullness to the "hack".... no file modification or even viewing possible.... essentially saying "I have infiltrated the enemy base but was forced to leave my hands, legs, and eyes outside the perimeter, due to this snafu no action could be taken and all security seems to be working fine for them, wheres my badge of honor???"

Yup, It's all Sony's fault....
No other company installs gig after gig of useless software *cough HP* *cough Acer* *cough Gateway* *cough Dell* *cough Every pre-manufactured pc and notebook production or sales company that has ever existed *

Get a grip, every computer that I have ever bought without building myself has come chock full of crapware (and I'm not just talking about WIN95/98/2000/ME/Vista here).

They announced at year end 2007 that they had, and I quote "...completely cracked BD+. " Turns out there Idea of complete was a joke, re-recording, transcoding, and several other abilities wound up not working on the files extracted, furthermore The file could ONLY be played through a single(that's one and only one) specific model of media software.

Long story short, they can say what they want, but I'm not going to believe it until I see it work.

Man you have a funny idea of what failure is....

Mini Disk - catch on with the mainstream nope.. used by hundreds of hire-able DJ's due to its compact nature and storage capacity, yup.. MADE money for Sony due to that small market segment alone.... sure did. If business is about making money how did it "fail" ?

MMCD - Made a merger with Toshiba possible the resulting format made millions for both companies, with out its advent DVD would not exist. Define th...
