Has nothing to do with the date format. I am well aware of the difference in how the date is written in other places. The issue is that the date on the document is September 18th.....not August. That's not generally an error that you would expect to have made in any official documentation. It actually saddens me that playstation lifestyle would be so quick to release yet another rumor post that they happened to glance over the date and the duration, even though Sony has indicated recently tha...

the date listed on the document? It shows the date as 18/09/2009. I'm not saying the things listed are or aren't true, but this document at least under further inspection doesn't really appear to be legit. But hey, who knows.

The title of this article is just awful. If you do not click through and actually read the article you have no context for why the title is what it is. The game is a 10-15 hour game. There is an achievement for beating it within 2 hours which requires you to beat the game using "sequence breaks."

Bad form, article poster.

I guess it sounds cool, but probably not something I would use to often. If its something I need to enter as opposed something that is ever present I am less inclined to use it. Same with Home, Life with Playstation, and Folding. They just become additional applications I am not inclined to make use of. Anyway, I am sure there will be plenty of folks that will make use of it, and can't really complain about getting new features.......assuming its real.

My question to you was where was the poster inaccurate, and you choose to target my comment about BC? You can speculate the reasons for why Sony chooses to do one thing or the other till the cows come home, but the fact remains they took it out and there is no evidence that they can necessarily put it back in with software or even that they would choose to.

Trying to call into question whether I am logical by trying to post a hypothetical pretty much makes you an idiot. Sorry ma...

Where exactly were his facts necessarily wrong? Aside from choosing to not include a hard drive in some boxes, and most recently adding built in storage that wasn't there initially what has MS taken away?

Sony took away card readers, they took away BC, they took away USB ports. Yeah you say they can add it back with software, but have they?

So again I ask, where is what the guy said inaccurate?

What does this have at all in common with the 32x? That add on took a 16 bit system and tried to make it a 32 bit system? What Balmer is describing, even if it did have a slightly beefier processor/gpu is no where near that. Its basically packing in a motion controller. I don't see a valid comparison.

Can you tell me any company that isn't using the word recession? I work for HP, arguably the largest computer company in the world. Recessions hit us just like anyone else. It's not really that big a surprise.

This system is going to end up similar to a 360 Slim. The board will be based on the valhalla chipset (smaller die size and combining the CPU and GPU.) Now 1 of 2 things could happen with this board. 1. It is a board that can fit in the current casing so all 360's will release with it including the "Natal" 360. The second option is that the board will not easily fit in the current 360 casing. If this is the case I would think that they would not only put valhalla in a slim360, but a...

This guy seriously needs to rethink writing about games. That list was beyond worthless. But guess what, his poor excuse for an editorial got traffic to his site. Aren't the gamesonsmash guys some of the guys that HHG references regularly on his site? Shocking.

I also listen to differing political opinions than my own. I have an open mind. And as I mentioned, I am hoping that at some point he can get past the innate bias he brings to his show. Honestly if he can do that and be a bit more professional (for instance not talking about things he has 0 knowledge of such as sales data, programming, etc) he might have something.

Seriously, that list is laughable, at best. About the only point I agree with is that N4G is full of fanboys. It is.

There's nothing wrong with having a preference, i honestly don't think that any person likes all systems equally. However, there is a problem if you try to present yourself as a legitimate journalist and let your bias leak into your reporting as he consistently does. It's not hard to spot, and anyone who doesn't see it is just as biased or retarded.

The same was true of Shane B. at 1UP. He was a pretty blatant Sony fanboy, and whenever it came to reporting about things like E3 o...

What makes it worse are actually legitimate interviews with people like Aaron Greenburg and David Jaffe. Now, I think for their part, no press is bad press, they get to talk about their games and their systems. The downside is that HHG gets to say "Look at me, I'm a real journalist!" much like Pinocchio's exclamation.

I tend to listen to HHG every Sunday just in the hopes that I make it through an entire episode without finding a reason to call him a Fanboy, and I never can. He's made it evident he prefers the PS3, but tries to pretend he can prevent that from entering his "reporting." Sorry, I have yet to see him do that successfully.

Also, just like every other wannabe on a blog trying to analyze sales numbers, he sounds like a complete tool when he tries. I know he is trying to p...

HHG decided to take time out of his busy schedule to comment on my post on his last video. Too bad he still doesn't get it.

Only talking about this generation of games as it relates to last gen:

The Wii is fully compatible with the Gamecube even going as far as to include the same memory card slots. That's about as fully compatible as you can get.

The 360 uses software emulation, and only supported it enough to get some of the popular games working. It's better than I expected by a long shot, but still not full compat, so they are a question mark moving to the new system. Granted owning t...

I know the 10 year cycle includes lifespan of the console after release of the next gen, but not everyone does. My reason for pointing it out at all was because of the original article. The author seems shocked that the new system might come out in 2011, even though that is absolutely in line with when it should come out. If the date was 2009 or even 2010, then I could see reason for any shock. Also I'm guessing the 360 will finally get to see a long tail similar to the PS2, same with the PS3...

My disagree was mainly aimed at BC..I'm not sure that MS will necessarily learn that BC is important and will either leave it out completely or go the route of removing it bit by bit. The hope is that because MS owns the chip design in the 360 that emulation or hardware BC will be much easier to achieve.

I'm actually a pretty big fan of the 360.
