Does no-one else think Golden Abyss sounds like the name to a bad porno? The game may be great but the name stinks.
Magically beautiful!
It looks soo calming and beautiful.
Beautiful, can't wait to play it, going to pick it up this week :)
Ok I own all consoles and a gaming PC...I hate disc swapping, good enough?
I am not going to lie, it doesn't completely ruin a game experience but it sure as s*** isn't fun.
It may or may not remain exclusive, so stop b***ing...However as long as it is listed as a PS3 exclusive it should be labelled as such in the article, yah get it?
Say what!? Why? I really can't see whats soo appleaing, could someone please tell me?
Sarcasm doesn't translate through text, so please tell me if you're serious? O.o
Yeah because thats what we need, another game set in New York city, are you freakin' kidding me!?
GT5 looks out of this world from some angles and disturbingly horrible from others...like for example head out to the Eiger Nordwand in a Premium car and it's jizz-inducingly good, however in a standard car on an old track and this game looks vomit-inducingly bad.
So while I enjoy GT5, still pick it up from time to time, the inconsistent graphics bug the hell out of me.
Ohh and another thing that bugged me was the lack of 'fan favourite cars' so ...
I personally loved the physics in GTA IV, In fact aside from Driver 3 it tops my list of handling in an open world sandbox game. I felt like I was actually learning to drive the different cars, figuring out their respective weakness vs strength as opposed to just hitting he accelerator and floating around. Aside from that I though the damage was pretty impressive too.
Some informative and funny stuff, most of it I could deduce from what I have already seen, but some things were good to know, like the brutal realism...I certainly wont let any kids near this game.
I am just waiting for my time to clear up, my summer will be filled with great games to play and seemingly little time to play it...sacrifices have to be made, being a responsible adult is important, which is why I am going to neglect people and responsibilities for the duration of my time with L.A. Noire :)
8.5 isn't a bad score, reviews are always going to be subjective and it's not like this game doesn't have issues, maybe these issues plague him more than they would you...you may not agree with him and/or IGN as a whole but they're entitled to their opinion and I think it's usually quite well motivated (maybe not equal to yours, but valid nontheless)
@mastiffchild - Yeah, people make way too big of a deal of comparisons, I mean how important is +2 FPS? 3% less screen tear? Slightly less Jaggies?
I can understand a warranted complaint of say a downgrade in resolution, extreme lack of textures etc...but these differences are minor...and disc swapping isn't really that big of a deal, it takes 10 seconds...ok it's a little annoying but not enough to ruin an experience.
People need to stop whinning.
I wouldn't say holding back, just making things extremely inconvenient ;)...I mean I love swapping discs, it makes me feel more part of the experience!
It's good that more people get a taste of this, it's a niché title and a gamble, an open world game which doesn't allow you to go crazy, a multi-dimentional story with a linear path, a teaser for the mind as opposed to an action filled shoot em' up...bold choice and definetly not going to entice many of the GTA fan's, especially the younger one's.
I am not expecting any wild sales for this to be honest, I'd say around Bully (Canis Canem Edit f...
The worst review so far, I sorta figured this would be a niché title.
From what I have seen though, this game offers everything I want, lets hope more developers make the bold choice to go for more mature titles like this one.
In what universe do you exist?...Not sure if serious!? O.o
The cougar man glitch was hilarious! I couldn't stop laughting after I saw that video, that and the donkey woman.
I sadly didn't run into any glitches on my playthrough, I was actually a little dissapointed, I had my hopes high to see flying bird men and weird cart glitches...my sis ran into a couple tho.
Forza 3 was an absolutely brilliant game, and it wasn't arcady at all, I mean did you play it?
@Pyscho_Mantis - I seriously doubt that.
