Hey Guys, writer of the article here. This is a personal blog post, more for the exploration of why we play the games we play, rather than a slight or hate article against 'Hotline Miami'. Perhaps I should not have posted a blog article on here, but nonetheless, I believe it is a good exploration into our desires to pick up and play a game. The title may have misled you, and for that I apologize.
I think his point is valid. It is not the violence in general that is the problem, but rather that the motivation for violence is little to none. It would seem the narrative bothered him and did not give him enough reason to continue killing. I think that is a pretty valid argument.
This is a weird and beautiful thing.
