Still don't want to play with shitty touch screen controls
Metro: Last light. "Range moder" (Highest difficulty setting) was behind a paywall. They made up bullshit excuses about how THQ had already planned for that DLC and it was too late for them to reverse it.
They crapped out right away with shitty moves like making higher difficulty settings paid DLC.
Weak console hardware is holding gaming back.
"These images are actually graphics from a video game." Is that not slightly misleading? These visuals are extremely impressive, but this is just a small area zoomed in and probably took a lot of horsepower to render. Try rendering that in real time across a whole environment with moving elements, characters and Ai added in. We are a long, long way away from visuals like this in consumer games.
This video lacks any real focus. It would have been much better to show progress in visuals or a single genre/franchise.
@garrettbobbyferguson: Yeah, just the same problem there. I used Nintendo as an example because they have a much larger legacy of older games available to purchase digitally.
@Kalebninja: I'm not justifying stealing. I'm calling him out for his crazy idea that emulation necessitates stealing.
@jcnba28: The industry seemed to be doing pretty well before a lot of the retro games started becoming available on the Wii virtual console (and later on other platforms) from 2006 onwards. Oh wait, I forgot that people emulating their SNES and Genesis games in the period prior to that caused the industry to crash and burn /S.
I play ...
Your comment reeks of disgusting ignorance. Enjoy paying extortionately high prices for 20-30 year old games on the Nintendo store then. Oh by the way, those digital copies will be tied to that system and won't transfer over when you buy another console. Maybe some of your favourite games won't even be available for purchase, guess that sucks since emulation is so 'immoral'.
Why do you say this game is pirated? I imagine it's much more likely the people wo...
Pointless system since it won't play a large chunk of the retro games people care about, seeing as they are owned by SEGA and Nintendo. Cartridges are cool, but what about when the memory battery dies? The PS1 got it right by switching to a disc and memory card based set-up.
Oh dear, I wonder if this was filmed entirely with green screen.
Will they even bother getting it right gameplay wise? MGS1 should NOT have first person aiming, this would badly break the game unless the environments were to be redesigned with different enemy placements.
A realistic looking human mascot is boring. In an ideal world Sony would have owned the rights to Crash or Spyro.
"I don't want to be screwed over with unreasonably high prices, therefore i'm an entitled douchebag".
Honestly I don't want trophies, shareplay or any of these other features; I just want to play the games on my PS4. I can't see it taking much work to upscale the resolution and add some AA, it's not like they're improving the textures or anything.
PS1 games were much cheaper on the PS3, I would gladly pay for PS2 games on PS...
It's a port of the ugly mobile version.
It seems like they're trying to market the game for 8 year old kids, as opposed to the ~30 year old men who backed the game.
Whenever I go into my local GAME the prices are a lot higher for any game than on Amazon or other sites. How do they get sales?
Hey, Jacques. This is Josh. A great example of less realistic games ageing well in visuals would be The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. It still looks good whereas Twilight Princess (the newer game) tried to be realistic looking and now looks more outdated.
No, pre order DLC and retailer exclusive collector editions.
I just checked the dictionary, and I found more adjectives than "Dark souls" which mean difficult.
