They need to drop the gamepad... to bring the cost down and then sell it for cheaper. They need to sell more units otherwise the system will fail. It is not about how good nintendo are its about selling units, making money and not declaring losses every year. Simple. All the talk about Nintendo being great and all will count for nothing if its not translating into sales. Its a business after all and they need the Wii U to make money.
It's gonna be very difficult to steal the thunder away from the new gears of war and the new uncharted. Personally I'm looking forward to the next syphon filter the most.

This Xbox bashing is getting old. Reminds me of the PS3 bashing from a few years ago. PS3 ended up having similar lifetime sales as the xbox 360 as well.
It is the start of the console race. Do you remember how far behind the PS3 was?

Xbox One will probably too. Honestly... both consoles will have sales parity down the line. The difference in lifetime sales will not likely be huge and they both will end up being successful consoles.
People need to calm down. The Xbox One is still selling well. At this stage of the life cycle its the third better ever. Calm down. It is miles ahead of where the 360 was at this stage.
