Here we go Thom, it's official.

And I agree with you, not once whilst playing this amazing game did I think I'd enjoy it more if it had sold a bazillion copies lol.
I don't care much for sales numbers but this does make me happy because I really did hope that Naughty Dog would not only get great critical success but great co...
People probably thought the same thing about the PS2, it continued to sell years after the PS3 came out.
It wouldn't be beyond anyone's wildest imagination for MS to eventually drop the 360 to a super low price leaving it as a cheap entry level system into a gaming machine and have it's main focus going forward on the next iteration on Xbox.
Now personally I think 2012 is a little arly for the next Xbox, I think it wouldn't be any earlier tha...
lol it's just always so easy to get sidetracked in those games isn't it?
It's the only series I've ever played where not feeling compelled to complete the main story missions has been a good thing.
Then if you ever get bored of messing around, you can do the "boring" part of completing side missions again.....and still have an amazing fucking time!!
I'd really love this to go along the same kind of vibe and gameplay as Vice City tbh, what a truly amazing GTA game that was.
Either way though GTAV has me truly excited, more so than GTA4 ever did and I had always been such a MASSIVE fan of GTA. My PS1/2 days were all about FIFA, Gran Turismo and GTA so I am so incredibly excited by this game.
I think it's wrong to lump in all COD players into these stereotypes, but it sure as hell does apply to a shitload of COD players.
Oh look a sales figure article.
Excuse me while I care more about the awesome time I'm having with the game rather than which platform it sold most copies on.
So many games to play, picked up BF3 for PC today, Gears afew weeks back for 360, UC3 soon for PS3 and Arkham City on Nov 18th when it releases on Steam and probably The Old Republic when it releases in December. And that's not including the other great games I didn't mention, of which there are soooooo many.
Such a good time to be a gamer right now.
Logic does indeed win with that comment.
You can't really use 2 games to cover how it generally has been.
I wouldn't say the media in general have been harsh on Sony this gen but there are some that have. For instance take the Gamespot review for the original Uncharted where they said that the AI was too smart and the story was under developed when everyone else hails the storytelling in Uncharted games as arguably the best in video games.
Or there was the Ratchet & Clank review for Tool...
My favourite superhero game too, closely followed by Arkham Asylum. I've yet to play Arkham City so that'll likely be up there when I do =)
Various people from Sony have already stated on the blog every now and again that the publisher sets the price for games on PSN.
Just because Sony own PSN doesn't mean they're the ones setting the prices for games they don't publish.
The last PC I bought ran for close to 6 years, it was still capable of running things like BF3 but sadly the motherboard died. Decided to build a new PC, this one will run as long if not longer and it'll keep playing games for the same amount of time too.
Now as for investment, I bought PS3 at launch so that was like £425 or something like that, can't recall the exact figure but it was damn expensive. This new PC cost me £720 to build. A little more expensiv...
I was kinda thinking the same thing.
Here's my review for Uncharted 3.
If you liked Uncharted 1&2 then Uncharted 3 will be fucking awesome.
Go and buy it day 1 and marvel in it's eternal splendor.
Parts I like the look of better on the PS3, others on the 360.
Overall neither looks truly impressive in any of those particular screenshots.
Doesn't have to be a 10 to be regarded as an amazing game.
I've read through enough reviews to know that pretty much anyone who has played UC3 thinks it is an absolute gem.
I love the disagrees, as if Eye of Judgement somehow doesn't exist or doesn't use a camera to tell what you're doing with cards lol.
The device itself and what it is capable of is very cool indeed but I find it quite sad that the only stuff I've seen involving Kinect that I think is cool has pretty much nothing to do with games. And by pretty much nothing I mean nothing.
Also please don't confuse this as a comment saying Move > Kinect because it's not. More that there isn't a Kinect game that I find in any way interesting however all the cool stuff that the tech is capable of is.
"kinect can do those things it just hasn't found a way the move has".
Have you ever considered why it hasn't found a way? I have, my conclusion is that it simply isn't possible unless they incorporate a controller in there.
You can say Sony played it safe, I'd say they took a good idea and perfected it.
I agree Move has been gathering dust for a bit, hell I know mine has and it's because there haven't been a ...
Massive congratulations to Naughty Dog on what is both a massive critical and commercial success.
I don't care much for sales numbers as I play games rather than balance sheets but I am always happy to hear that a developer is able to really enjoy the rewards they've earned due to their amazing work and talent.
Well done Naughty Dog and a massive thank you for giving me yet another amazing game to enjoy.
