^It's just like any traditional games, all devs (not only Kinect devs) will try to promote their games to gamer. If it's turn out to be awful, it won't sell. Just like any game.

I agree if the market will slightly increase if MS can make a game that everyone wanted. But making only a good game won't guaranteed 100% all xbox user to having the device.

It's to expand the market. If you don't know, more and more games are featuring Kinect function now, such as BF4, D4, DR3, Ryse, Killer Instinct, Project Spark, and I'm pretty sure there's a Kinect logo on Forza 5 box art.
You can use it to voice command feature too, like turning on/off the console, insta-switching, snap, skype's call, and more.
It's like a mandatory free dlc. In compesation of our one-time connection, we got free stuff and drivatars software addition. I think it's a good deal

I agree, I'm going all digital on the next gen, whether it's X1 or PS4. It's awesome because you can insta-switching your games without putting disc anymore. You can play while downloading too this time. And furthermore, I really hope there's a crazy sales and pre-load feature on PS4/XB1 like Steam.
The console itself requires one time connection to the Internet. If you're buying the game at launch, you just have to connect briefly for the game to get the Drivatars and bunch of tracks and cars. I don't see any problem.
