Pretty good compared to my 8600 GTS! Eyeing both the prices/benchmarks of the 5850 vs 6870. Finally got the WAF under control and now I'm ready to finally have a decent video card! No more low settings!
It takes a lot of self control. I know I should also do it for New Vegas, but I'll be lucky if I have the self control to last a week on that one!
Just wait for the GOTY edition. It requires a lot of self control, but I'm not paying $50 bucks for half the game. I haven't even picked up DA:O for that very reason. Call me cheap all you want, but I'm willing to wait so that I don't get ripped off!
It's only worth going DX11 if you have an old card that needs upgrading anyways. I'm getting so very very tired of my GTS 8600 and now that I finally have a bit of money, I plan on going DX11. It's not a feature set worth jumping on or upgrading for (yet at least), but it is a decent extra.
You will pay extra (probably at least an extra 100%) for all the DLC. Instead, you could wait for the GOTY edition and no get nickel and dimed. Patience is a virtue and I just hate supporting rip off DLC. That's why I will finally be breaking down to get the first DA

What makes me even happier was that my computer no longer restarted randomly when I tried to play multiplayer if firefox had been open since the computer started. Seemed like a bizarre problem that no one else had, but glad that it appeared fixed (knocks on wood).

They didn't defend their right to creativity because it was at odds with their right to make money. I'm not sure why people are surprised when a company makes a decision that is in the best interest of its bottom line.
Sorry, but this isn't censorship, it's just caving to market pressure. Censorship is when someone is prevented or forbidden from releasing something. No one forced them to do anything, they were just afraid of losing a lot of money and so made a business decision to make a simple name change.
I think the whole controversy is lame, but don't call it censorship when it is a free choice by EA. I hate censorship, and frankly, this ain't it.

I waited to get this game because from day one I saw the nickel and diming on DLC. I said I would wait until the full game was released on one disc for one price. I was getting a bit tired of waiting to play it, but I'm glad I did - $115 for all that content? No thanks, I'll only pay $50.

I don't know (or care since they are Ubi titles) about the other two, but ME2 released the same day for PC as for the 360. Unless you are confusing the PC with the PS3 - in which case, yes - you are absolutely right.
Assassin's Creed should have been cut from the list due to its DRM. That automatically puts it out of the running for any honours.
Unfortunately they have also been getting a lot of $$ lately - and that goes a lot farther than any public backlash would. Until the dollars start talking, don't expect Activision to change.

Honestly - I have no idea. I just wish that I had some experience with DX11 to say - but sadly I don't. So I'll just keep my mouth shut and keep my ignorant (and probably wrong) opinions to myself on that one.
No point correcting someone over the AMD/ATI names. The ATI name is being dropped for consistency and they are just going to use the AMD name from now on.
I'm interested to see what AMD is going to put out, but I doubt we will know for a while. First they have to announce the details of their 6XXX series, which will just be an incremental improvement over the 5XXX. Still, I'm really sick of my 8600GTS (yeah yeah, sad, isn't it?) and now that I have a bit of extra cash, I want something that doesn't suck.
Right now specs and pricing is all speculation/leaks. However, from what I have heard, Friday is the day that all will be revealed as the non-disclosures expire sometime on Friday.
