I signed up for the games, but I stayed for the laughs.
3DS is a well-suited platform to release it on. You won't know for sure if the franchise has a future in todays market, so it's obviously best to test the waters on the cheaper console to develop for.
The games a million seller. There's nothing wrong with that. It hasn't even been released in Japan yet, and the 3DS version is still to come.
I'm thinking of one where you're in control of your pokemon, from dodging to attacking, in water, on land and in the air, preferably in 3D space. Turnbased RPGs are good, but I want the action oriented fights of the anime while still maintaining a deep level and stats system.
Still waiting for that first Pokemon Action RPG.
Medium capacity isn't directly linked to graphics. Just look at 360 and PS3. BDs are lightyears ahead of DVDs, but the graphical different is so small it would be patethic to pick on it.
Also, earlier Nintendo consoles has always been on par with the competition in regards to hardware. The N64 was even slightly more powerful than the PS1, and the GC more than the PS2. 3rd parties chose the Sony consoles and Xbox instead because of the medium allowing more content, not bec...
The problem is that developers don't have a clear number of how many PS Vita and PS3 combos exist around in peoples homes. It's the same problem as with Wii Motion Plus and Move; split consumer base as a result of launching late in the console cycle. With the Wii U developers at least know that the console and Pad come as a pair.
The power isn't a big factor for me to enjoy games on a system. I still whip out the occasional 8 bit game, damn it. What bothers me is that if the Wii U is much less capable than the other two next gen consoles, it will once again be an afterthought by 3rd parties. I want to be able to play Zelda and Bioshock, Mario and Assassin's Creed, Metroid and Batman on the same console, but it won't happen if Nintendo keep staying one generation behind.
This is all hypotet...
You don't actually see the deaths, but in the games Lavender has a whole tower with Pokemon tombstones and trainers crying their eyes out over them.
Someone also told me that the manga has deaths, but I haven't read it so I don't know in what manner.
Really, it wouldn't take much effort to implement good hotkey interface on a regular controller. Pressing a shoulder button to activate the hotkeys mapped to different face buttons would work just fine. Release the shoulder button, and the face buttons reverts back to their original function.
Well, it's only 4 minutes since it was approved. Give the haters time, and they will surely get those flames going.
It's a game breaking bug in the first generation of games. I don't know all the details, but it's something like if you catch him you risk bricking the game beyond repair. He's not in the pokedex so he isn't necessary to complete it, though.
It is unlocked by talking to the old man in Viridian city who wants to teach you how to catch pokemon and immediately fly to Cinnabar Island and swim along the eastern shore. By defeating it, the sixth item in your inv...
Gamesradar... I haven't had the problem since I installed Adblock Plus on my Firefox, though.
There's a fine line between "on par" and "less powerful". There has also been reports saying it's twice as powerful as a 360, and some even say it's 5,5 times as powerful.
I'll take any specs with a grain of salt until E3, but I'll be disappointed if this turns out to be true. That won't keep me from getting one and enjoying it, though.
@Stinky_Fish
"Amazingly" isn't exactly right. They sold respectively and brought profit, which is the most important part. Amazingly is when they push 500k to 1M, which isn't that farfetched in Japan, but still an achievement.
One Piece is huge! One month out on one console in one region, and it's already in the top 10.
Going by the PS2 games I would have to agree.
Well, they can't blame the gamers if it sells below it's potential then.
The score isn't too shabby either way, though I'd definitely put it in the 90+ range.
Nintendo is actually the most stable console manufacturer of the three, and saying that they should quit is a terrible idea. Consoles are a small branch in the whole of Sony and Microsoft, and a constant loss project as gaming would be the first to go if the top brass found themselves in hot water.
