Glad to see that elements of the game turned out well. I just wonder how Ubi will proceed moving forward since For Honor is a bit more open compared to their recent titles which have followed the games as service model.

This should be a great year for Housemarque, especially if MatterFall arrives before years end :)

With the reception the character received, I wonder if Ubi ever toyed around with bringing Vaas back in a Far Cry side game. Dude was one hell of a character.

Yup. I definitely think we're slowly on the verge of that happening. Now it's just a matter of just how far devs will go with the subject matter, and how they'll craft the gameplay around it.

Yeah it's great to see a console RTS be successful for once. Think the last time such a thing happened that I enjoyed was the old Army Men RTS on the PS2.

I'll never forget the final boss battle in Army Of Two: Electric Boogaloo 3. It was against a goddamn Humvee. So odd and out of place, but it was the last level so it "needed" a boss battle. Here's hoping more devs start moving away from conventional boss encounters in favor for something else.

Same here. Make it modern technically, spruce up the boss battles, maybe add both old-school and RE4 style controls, and keep it at that. Just hope that Capcom doesn't feel compelled to add a FPS or VR mode in somehow.

It's really great that RE is back in the mix properly. I just wonder how this will impact not just the RE2 Remake, but RE8 as well. It's almost like we're back in the situation post RE4 where expectations are so high for the team to match or surpass what was presented previously. Capcom may have their stride back, but here's hoping fans don't get too ahead of themselves moving forward.

It's always great to see a dev create a game that thinks outside the box in respect to the subject material and not creating a game which is immediately traditional in the design and subject matter. Also great to see a local dev step up and create a game that covers a subject that some people, such as the media, are focusing solely on one element, rather than the bigger picture at play for the community.

Conceptually I want to like this, but the prototype vid seemed suspicious to me, as is the general poor structure of the KS campaign. I also find it odd that this is attempt two to make an Apocalypse Now game. I think there's lot of potential to show the truly hellish side of war and the effects it has on those involved, though immediately attaching a revered IP to it may be detrimental in the long run.

Yeah the split between responsibilities of CD and Eidos Montreal will be extremely interesting. It's not uncommon for SE studios to help each other out on major productions (ex: Tomb Raider, Deus Ex, Hitman), but listing these two studios as the core devs from the start is interesting. I wonder what CD will be doing the bulk of the design work while Montreal handles art, multiplayer, etc. Here's hoping we truly won't have to wait til 2018 for more details.

It's been interesting to see the RE franchise evolve with the times, or at the very least try to adapt to the changing landscape of gaming. At times things haven't worked, but right now it appears that the franchise is back on track. Now it's just a matter of whether Capcom will ever fire the gun on a new Outbreak game. Could be interesting since the market is better adapted for online play compared to the early days of the PS2 network features.

Damn, that's one hell of a dream game right there. May be a bit tricky from a licensing perspective, but it surely would get a huge audience. Ultimately it's cool that AOne has dedicated so much time to Omen of Sorrow since I think it definitely fulfills a void, not just in fighting games but the games industry as a whole. Like we really don't see many games that have a horror approach other besides the recent crop of scare simulators or old classics. So it's nice to see some...

Such a fine contribution this comment was. Keep on having such an open and positive mentality.

This really shows how Ubi is paying attention to historical accuracy despite the otherwise fantastical premise of For Honor. Great insight all together.

Rockstar certainly knows how to keep pumping out content and updates. Pretty impressive for a studio to do these days.

I literally wasn't following this game at all, but it does sound interesting and the art is quite interesting as well.

I absolutely adore the PS3 version of the Half Blood Prince. Game has loads of charm and really captures the essence of the films. Here's hoping we get something like that soon instead of more Lego stuff.

Glad to see the community keep growing. Looking back it's interesting to see how some of this started out as small competitions with dozens of CRT monitors and now it's a huge event with sleek professional presentation.

That would be quite cool. There's a ton of narrative room to explore going that route, and it would provide some cool moral quandaries within the character and even the player if executed properly.
