urghhh... why do people bother reading these articles. low rate authors talking about another article that was from a low rate author/website.
would love sony to buy capcom
its just not sonys thing to license their tech out.
cryengine is a great engine. though what would sony do wih it? will they license out the engine like crytek?
i mean i sony has had relations with crytek uk since that was the old timesplitters and haze team. but they probably dont want to take anymore risks with them.
i see tea or ms looking at this.
got tired after reading the first 2 lines.
its coming out for vita and its not a mainline game.
kinda regret typing this since its not really funny and i am freaking tired.
wow, what a month. if anyone cannot find a game they are interested in october then god bless them.
no. console wars pretty much started since consoles existed.
not because of competition or anything. i think its good because it creates brand loyalty. the fans will then be advertisers for you.
the thing is sony is making money from playstation unlike other publishers who has to make money from their games.
more games to expand the playstation library makes the playstation more attractive. some games just make a good name for the brand like heavy rain. not sure if that game made money, but it does make the playstation brand look better.
they did get used by from software though. demon souls is a sony owned ip so from software basically made another franchise by the same team but changed a few words round.
they do publish a lot of weird games, but you have to remember that these games may be breaking even.
i also like to add that these games that are breaking even can in a sense make money indirectly. basically more variety on a certain console could attract a game to buying that console.
games like puppeteer came out too late in the generation. if it came out earlier, or was available to vita and ps4 thrn that could be very succesful
i think this gen will have a few hardware improvements once or twice that will imporve graphics, framerate, like a pc does.
how is the xbone not competing with ps4?
sales may not be anywhere close but it is still competing.
also it is not really competing with the ps3 at all. looking at xbone alone, it does not care if ps3 sells a million more. xbone is competing with ps4 because they are both at the initial stage unlike ps3 which is soon to reach its declining stage.
people use digital services and they pay a premium for it.
psn prices are bloody expensive and people still buy them. psnow prices are not too bad, people will use this service. looking at gamestop online prices. the games are not even cheap.
@dvs-zev
i am exactly like you. i somehow like the idea of having the disk boxes. i never sell them. which is why i liked xbone drm policies. i get to have a disk and install it so that i never need to touch or swap a disk. kind of like best of both worlds imo.
or it could mean that you own the title already, are you sure you still want to rent game? :P
well i doubt it but i guess that is a possibility.
it helps people who have already purchased the game.
otherwise wont make much difference. psn games are expensive. psnow is relatively cheap in comparison to psn and gamestop.
i like a few games you listed.
i also like tlou, try it out.
yea, trophies and achievements can give devs/publishers/sony and ms lots of vital information.
im pretty sure last gen will show us that if you release a shitty but easy to plat game then people will play the game >.<
i fault sony for supporting ps3 more than ps4 the last few years.
its good for ps3 gamers, but for people that wanted more support for ps4 it was a shame.
ms hardly supported the 360 because they went to support the xbone.
i mean imagine a launch line up with.
beyond, tlou, puppeteer, gow: ascension, gt6, ni no kuni, sly, r&c.
