Oh I don't know a couple of years working closely with hardware partners for a technology website and dealing with PR all day, Microsoft would shoot someone if they knocked a document that looked that crap, let alone any major corporation.
A quick look through posting for the patent office show most of this stuff has been public knowledge for a long time, its just patent trolling, this is mostly speculation by some keen fan at best.

Shift and Shift 2 have a great sense of speed effect, that tunnel vision blur thing can make that long straight on Nurb'ring a terrifying experience in the top cars :D

Absolutely, the gameplay is the most important thing and its rock solid, the multiplayer is crap loads of fun :D much better than the campaign.
Plus some of the gimpy voices your characters have in multiplayer are hilarious.
Been following this one for a few days now, rather looking forward to it now :)
