Suck it up and do something else. Be happy when it's back up. Demanding some type of compensation reeks of immature brat that had their rattle taken away. Grow up and deal with it- this is a life skill and you'll be better for it in the end.
The title is incomplete. The omitted words are in parentheses here: "The iPad 2: Is This the End of (Mahjong and Solitaire on the) PSP and DS?
Perhaps he's using it as a verb instead of a noun? ;)
Quantity does not equal quality. I think we can all agree that there is "alot" of worthless shovelware out there for the Wii. The Wii may need to retreat to the workout and kid friendly niche markets.
I went back in to check it out last night. After the update, I was totally impressed at the changes that have been implemented over the last few months- the new XMB-like layout, navigation changes, and "items" in your avatar's inventory. I think we are starting to see the potential- keeping things fresh by adding new content will entice people to come back and see what's happening. Still a long way to go, but we are now witnessing Home's evolution, and it's interesting to say the...
DirectTV is introducing 3D channels this year and ESPN will broadcast several events in 3D so the concept does not have to rely on just one platform (gaming) to survive. Those who have seen Avatar in 3D will have enough interest to give 3D more than a passing glance, and judging by box office numbers, that is a LOT of people.
It has a chance... if they can successfully introduce 3D to the public, many consumers with current generation HDTVs will certainly consider 3D capabilit...
Be happy with what you have and be happy for you neighbor and what they have.
I have an 80GB w/BC and it has come in handy. I never played God of War I or II back in the day, but picked them up for $15 total when Amazon was having one of their sales. Turning the high def options on makes the game look great, but on a more basic level, I simply have the capability to play it on my PS3 which is an upcheck for convenience. Also works great for Singstar- when the family is playing...
I have an 80GB PS3 w/BC. It is a nice to have feature, but its absence shouldn't hold someone back from buying one of the new PS3s. It's useful for games like Singstar- you can swap PS2 discs in after loading the PS3 version. It also makes GOW 1 and 2 near-HD after activating WS and progressive mode (without trophies, of course but the core gameplay is very nice visually).
I'd say on average I use the BC capability for 2 hours a month (with maybe 40 total hours of gaming in t...
Wow, that is whack!
Why make a billboard where only people traveling on the busted up underpass can view it? Look at the perspective- no one on the highway/overpass would be able to see it (too low and angled away).
Cheaters suck.
Sounds like fun. Goodbye sleep!
The ticker doesn't affect my game playing nor does it dominate my screen so much to be annoying. Considering the economy, I think it's OK for a company to try to attract sales, particularly when the vehicle is free to users (PSN).
Hmmm... I wonder why there isn't any mention of a particular "next gen" game machine, rushed to market, constructed with substandard components, experiencing higher than normal failure rates, and more than three years into its life cycle, has yet to resolve the issue? Would that constitute a "stupid tech blunder?"
Yes, however the playing field has changed. The lower price and improved design could induce more to switch. I totally understand 360 owners re-buying 360s because of their libraries. If I had a lot invested with games, peripherals, etc., it would be tough to leave. But with a new $299 price point, the PS3 has to at least be a consideration for those tired of losing their hardware.
Venomish-
Not all games are exclusive to one system. By your logic, if you wanted to play all Singstar games, you would buy a PS3 and a PS2 separately, despite the existence of a PS3 that can play both.
Don't be so closed minded- that is the mark of a fanboy.
Scarcity helped the Wii hype; Sony can leverage PS3 demand in the same fashion and ride the wave of publicity. Not necessarily a bad thing for sales.
Two PS2 games I've put time in recently on are NBA Street 2 and SSX Tricky. There may be similar PS3 versions of these types of games out there (Street Homecourt, Shaun White) but the PS2 games are just plain fun to play, notwithstanding the graphics. Also, if you want to swap PS2 Singstar discs in with your PS3, you need BC. It would be a good move for Sony to make this available to all PS3s; everyone likes to have options.
You can play as Yoko Ono and tear the band apart, then Heather Mills to milk McCartney for every last pound he's worth!
It's... a... GAME!!!
