Do you also question it if a Playstation site gives a Playstation exclusive a 10?
It's like Death Stranding all over again. A "love it or hate it" kind of game with review scores all over the place.
I'm sure you'll focus on those and ignore the sites giving the game 9s and 10s.
The only thing that could justify this absurd price hike is if they're planning to release upcoming first party titles like Spiderman for free day one.
That's pretty naive. Reviewers don't always review a game on good faith. Look at the sites who negatively reviewed Hogwarts Legacy because of JK Rowling despite her not being involved in the development of the game or sites that deducted points from FF16 because the characters aren't racially diverse enough.
Now watch as people who have no problem paying for $70 dollar games try to spin it as a greedy move.
It's a bit of both. They want to cover the events of the original and tell a new story at the same time. The director already confirmed that all locations from the original will return and the story would remain mostly the same.
It's the first new Bethesda IP in nearly three decades. I'd say the hype is more than deserved.
There's already an easy mode. It's called summoning other players, preferably competent ones.

"It’s even getting harder to die later in the game when you got your build going, there’s no need to learn mob enemies because you most likely going to bulldoze your way toward the end."
But mob enemies are rarely the source of Souls games' difficulty. The boss fights are where the challenge lies. There are very few players who would say that the late game boss fights against Maliketh, Godskin Duo, or Malenia in Elden Ring are easy.
"It's just a matter of pattern recognition"
This pretty much applies to all action games. If you normally die a lot when playing a game then it is by definition, hard. How else would you define "hard"?
They're absolutely hard games, and that's why many gamers love them. Challenging, but not unfair. Anyone who says they aren't hard are either series veterans who've been playing the games for years and are accustomed to the challenges, amazingly gifted hardcore gamers, or liars.
It's the least buggy Bethesda game to date from what I've heard.
Milo is actually possible now with all the AI advancements recently.
This looks way too good to be true.
Move on.
Baldur's Gate 3 is a hardcore gamer's game. Starfield would probably appeal more to a broader audience.
Sekiro sequel
Get a PC and a Switch and that'd be enough to play everything as long as you're patient.
