After reading through a portion of this guys blog post (yeah it is a blog), I found the article to be pretty unpleasant to read. However, when I went back and tried to read it in the context of a joke, it was... still pretty unpleasant, in a different way. I will say, though, that I while I think this is very much one of those hit-grabbing sort of posts, it makes more sense as a piece of humor (I always do this for any particularly flame ridden article, as I think it is a good tactic for avoi...
Well, the comment could mean that, since some of you are not only expecting the game to be bad, but are actually hoping it turns out that way, there is no way for you to be disappointed by it when it comes out.
Maybe it could also mean that you won't be disappointed because it will be bad and those that are hoping its bad will have their wish granted lol. In any case, I don't understand why you would even wish for any game to be bad, i mean if its good then there wou...
list is null and void for excluding DayZ. DayZ is one of the most origninal games ever made, and L4D2 is one of, if not the greatest co op game ever made. The walking dead episodes are pretty good, but I do not like the fact that there are 2 different resident evil games on the list.
Well there ARE those of us who actually think the game looks pretty good and want to see it grow in popularity. I honestly dont see why people hate on the character model so much. Objectively it isn't that bad. I think people are still hung up on his design from that first trailer and concept art which are kind of ugly but seeing as how they changed it, I think people need to stop saying he looks emo because he doesnt at all anymore.
Did ya hear!? We put a man on the Moon!
This will probably be pretty controversial, but I think Bioshock is the most overrated game this gen. It was pretty great until immediately after Andrew Ryan's office. After that it was just filler and totally killed the experience.
As for God of War 3, I kind of agree. However, I really enjoyed God of War 2 because in spite of its simple gameplay and ultra violence, it was pretty and had kind of an interesting mythology to it (That was when I was under the impression th...
I know that Starwars and Watchdogs were games, but their debuts were essentially glorified tech demos. You can't tell me that they released them without the primary intention of showing off what they can do with the next gen tech.
Also, of course Agni's Philosophy was running on a PC. So was Unreal 4, Watchdogs, and Star wars.
I don't understand why you very slightly misquoted Epic. He said "Adam West to Christian Bale" not "Adam West to Dark Knight Rises" in fact he never even said "Dark Knight Rises" at all. In any case, Unreal's next gen tech demo has been the least interesting in my opinion. Square Enix's Agni's Philosophy, Ubisoft's Watchdogs, and even Starwars 1313 had really interesting aspects to the demos outside of the tech.
lol this is the most random article ever haha
I would actually mention Old World Blues. I have no idea what the statistics are on how many people got it, but it was absolutely the funniest game I have ever played (expansion or no).
I was right there with you until you brought the whole "PC master race" thing in. I agree that Steam is fantastic and is the best service out there, but I DO think that PSN is great. It is 2nd to Steam of course (and could do with a nice makeover for sure), but I am really interested in Sony's PSN+ business model. I can tell you that both services have encouraged me to play games that I otherwise would never have experienced. In fact, I think Sony is in a very powerful position ...
First off, you're right Nick, there are people that play Motorstorm Pacific Rift, all of like 10 people. Just because you play it doesn't mean a bunch of other people do too. Just a professional tip, give some better backup to your argument, because you are never going to convince the average gamer (most of whom don't even know about Motorstorm Pacific Rift) to side with you on this one.
It is just smart business to close servers that aren't being used, and to...
@angels3785 Sorry, but TDKR is definitely not going to win best picture. It'll probably get a nod, but hell would have to freeze over before it wins. Granted, its been a super weak year for movies (that is Academy level stuff), Moonrise Kingdom being the best release this year so far, but Paul Thomas Anderson's ( the guy who did Boogie Nights and There Will Be Blood) new movie "The Master" will probably end up sweeping the awards circuit this year.
I enj...
ya know, I enjoyed both Arkham City and TDKR, but I actually liked both the Dark Knight and Arkham Asylum better. The Dark Knight was a tighter movie with better showmanship while Arkham Asylums' metroidvania playstyle and level progression just was more up my alley. Plus Hugo Strange was a huge disappointment in AC, seriously total waste of a really interesting character.
@Mintyrebel I know how you feel! I actually donate plasma to support my favorite hobby haha
that is kind of a complicated question. Personally, I think that Skyrim is the deeper game, it will certainly give you more content and a larger world to explore. On the other hand, The Witcher 2 has one of the best stories I have played in a loooong time, and tells its story better than any game I have ever played. Also, the Witcher 2 is a pretty tough game so theres that. All in all, If you are a PC gamer and are big into mods, I would give the nod to Skyrim, but if you arent crazy about mo...
I hadn't played the Witcher 2 until it came out for xbox 360, but when i did all i could say was WOW. Seriously, I think that the Witcher 2 may just be my new favorite game.
Well, Sony could have tried cloud gaming on its own, but do we really think it would have been that great? Thats part of why its such a big deal is that Sony is integrating their own resources into Gaikai. It is totally possible Microsoft will want to have a cloud gaming veteran on its side to improve its offerings to stay competitive with the Sony/Gaikai partnership.
I have to agree, this is mostly stuff that came out this or last year, hardly representative of this whole generation. Instead of DayZ, which is oddly specific, why not general mods (Skyrim and Portal 2 have some pretty sick ones too)? why not bitching at developers (inFamous 2, DMC, and Mass Effect 3)? Instead of minecraft, why not Pseudo-games because it is broader (Heavy Rain, Journey, Minecraft, Minecraft clones, etc.) Even dlc? Idk, there are a lot of more poignant trends that I think wo...
Personally I feel like the game is a lot deeper than the haters are giving it credit for. I thought the demo was great and I rarely ever say that about a demo. I am not going to say im picking it up day one, because it is entirely possible I will be busy, but I must say, I sure am psyched to get it when i can!
