There is no playstation game that removes features due to DLC.

Nintendo released the Wii U a year had the next generation market to themselves and all they had to show for it were ports of games that look identical to the PS3, XBOX 360 generation. None of those ports took adventage of the better hardware not creating any incentives, and their key IP's are taking forever. By the time the key IP's come out, XBOX ONE and PS4 will be there to compete.

On top of that lack of online support, a unified reward system, or power to create ...

Pop in any halo, gears of war, or fable game on the XBOX 360 and it will say DLC **** is needed to play this mode. You most likely don't notice because you buy the DLC so it never blocks you from using contain on the main disk.

That's true on PSN developers hold their own servers, so if a game has lag it's generally has to do with the developer's implementation or network.

It's similar to how computer games are developed if you think about it, but you never hear anyone say PC has poor networks because it's well known developers create the online portions not Microsoft besides their own developers.

The main reason why i don't praise XBOX Live as much because they block you from content from the main disk if you don't buy DLC. This happens a lot with the XBOX 369 exclusives, yet it's suppose to be a robust system handling dynamic profiles. The PSN before PS4 does not do this, so i hope the PS4 follows.

How ironic, someone on this website asked me how Blu-ray affected gaming claiming i'm delusional. Well i was wrong about one thing, multiplatform games will see a difference if it's an ambusious sandbox video game.

Some of the titles that utilize the space on the disk on Blu-ray:

Infamous games
Uncharted games
Metal Gear Solid 4
Killzone games
MotorStorm games
Resistance games
Gran Turismo
God of War games

Blu-ray won't have an impact on multiplatform videos games since the goal is to meet where similar hardware can achieve.

With the PS2 era yes the XBOX was more powerful but they were both on the same media disk. So the difference would be two classrooms the same size and one just has more people in it, but still teaching the same thing. In the end, it didn't matter because the same kind of games could be made for both.

Appose to the PS3 vs XBOX 360, more power and the 50GB blu-ray disk makes a difference. That's like taking university classes vs college c...

The problem with cloud computing:

- have to be connected
- may not be available in your area or region
- need good enough connect to be worth it

The pros / cons of hosting your own servers:

- have total control
- can be expensive
- a single point of failure for the service

If Microsoft hosts everything, the price of XBOX Live could go up, and they do not believe in used video game sales. The ...

They dropped the price of the 3DS once the Vita was launched with the same price point. That also helps with sales too, otherwise they would most likely be struggling in the handheld market when someone can get better tech at the same price.

I think if Nintendo does struggle it will be more on the lack of online support from them, even though Sony gets more criticism from the public with support. Nintendo always gets a free pass for some reason when it comes to online, but with this new generation it will hurt them the most this time around.

My guess is that they like their games to be nearly perfect (almost no bugs) and when introducing online creates new uncontrollable variables that can tarnish their almost bu...

Seriously if it bothers you that much, then buy a headset; the article is so pointless. One thing though is that Microsoft business model is usually abour proprietary tech, at the same time you are going in knowing things are more expensive.

Computers never come with headsets and no one ever complains, but it is similar to the PS3 that the device can use third party products. In the end it's not that much of a big deal, it's just a headset that i find people generall...

With the multitasking humans aren't computers so when a human says they can multitask what they are actually doing is shifting focus from one thing to another. In short dong two things while watching TV defeats the purpose of doing either and is a pointless feature giving how humans are designed.

As with the TV integration it's more of an overlay than an integration, so it translates what your TV cable device is feeding to the XBOX ONE. It just makes every TV smart, i...

That's a common thing to say about the controllers given previous controller designs, but if they are like their counterparts I will most likely find both of them comfortable, functional (fighting games aren't the best of the previous directional pad with XBOX), and well designed.

I'm the type of person who adapts to each device than to buy products that all look and do the same things.

With the XBOX 360, the black ops headsets would have a buzzing sound that the USB connect didn't have. I'm more interested if now both the PS4 and XBOX ONE will have the same buzzing sound when plugged in.

There is not such thing as arrogance when it comes to business, a person represents a company that sells a product that will eventually pay the bills. If you work for Ford and have to sell a vehicle to make money, you are going to have to sell that vehicle as if it's the best vehicle in the world.

This is why journalist exist, to cypher out the PR stuff. Being a consumer it can be jarring, but it's business nothing personal.

The smart thing to do would be offer all the disk based games online at a cheaper price than to offer disk based games that are just local digital downloads.

It's backwards thinking, if you really think about it.

The article is in a way an oxymoron, yes if you don't want to be in the spot light your choice is yours and you don't have to defend it, just don't expect people to rely on informative information on a choice.

Why i say it's an oxymoron, well being in the spot like has it's perks, but when you don't explain yourself to the public is looks bad. Like for example if the president decided to bomb australia and gave no reason, it doesn't look good. On ...

Sony's platform pleases everyone, so if he prefers the physical media DRM route, you can allow it on the PS4. So this doesn't phase me at all choosing the PS4, especially since self publishing is allowed on the platform.

In the end i say gamers will be more critical with what they spend, and more developers should invest in DLC where they get 100% of the profit, Valve should learn this concept.

It's so interesting that there are so many articles defending Microsoft, but when it was the other way around there was little to none for Sony. I even remember News crews would talk about how doomed the PS3 was right down to certain developers coming out that I won't name.

Now that the tables have turned, people are a little more laid back.
