Persona and shin megami tensei are two different branches of the megami tensei franchise, this also includes majin tensei, last bible, devil summoner, devil survivor, etc. When the games were initially coming out in America, the "shin megami tensei' label was put on everything to make the games easier to market and more cohesive, they eventually dropped this though. It's not like persona and smt are the same series, they just belong to the same franchise and share similar ideas

Just download the ROM (or more accurately, .iso) really, who cares? I don't know why people like to pretend emulators are morally wrong nowadays especially when the company in question is Konami.

Guys the steam deck is gonna be like any other gaming hardware... It may reach 60 fps or even more. It depends on how well it can run the game in question. This estimate by valve is probably just a conservative estimate for what performance of newer games is like.

No. I doubt valve is even trying to compete with the switch. Its a pretty niche device all things considered. Just look at how it's designed, it's clearly going for ergonomics and power over aesthetics and convenience, but the latter is what sells with a mainstream audience. That's not a bad thing, it could still very well be a financial success if their producing an appropriate amount.

There's no way in hell it's going to sell as much as the big 3, but that's ok. Its a much more niche market, they can produce a more limited quantity and still be financially successful

Played the demo. Not even a funny or charming bad game, just boring and buggy. Some of the art is cool, esp balan himself

None of them really need remakes. Game budgets and dev times are so inflated now that it's best spent on something new, and IDK what squares plan is stretching FF7 over multiple big games. Will people buy the 3rd game as much as they've bought the first one? I feel likes it's going to get tired quick

Japan censors violence, america censors sexual content. It's always been this way too

they're winding down the thing that gets people to buy playstations basically... do you know how many people bought a playstation just for bloodborne? lol. A lot of their western exclusives are getting PC releases too.

Yeah especially now that the internet is a part of everybody's life, the only way TV media can compete is by being more sensationalist then ever

Even as a souls fan I'm not going to buying a ps5 on launch. Dreamcast had a great launch lineup

Oh woops didn't catch it. Sorry mang

Depends on the game. Dark souls combat revolves around the stamina bar. In elder scrolls yeah get rid of it, its just an annoyance

Surprised killer7 isn't mentioned. This was the central premise of that game

they could have said the same thing in about catherine fullbody or P5 scramble lol

1298d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

From a marketing perspective there is. I predict that SMT V will sell well and that's partially because there's such a demand for P5 on the switch. A least SOME of those people that are begging for a p5 port will buy SMT V in its absence. Similarly, SMT IV performed pretty well compared to older titles and I think that's because there was a lot of buzz about persona 4 golden around its time of release.

dragon quest doesn't have the same level of ambition as FF. It's turn based alright but it's missing the grandeur of the final fantasy games

1315d ago 0 agree2 disagreeView comment

Turn based doesn't really die, it just fell out of favor in mainstream for awhile. Chess is a turn based game and people still play it. Like the other guy said, megaten games are getting pretty damn big, and darkest dungeon was a big hit as well.
