I think i played the Tiger woods 2003 or 2004 one or so on Xbox, i liked the guys doing the commentary on that one, it was pretty funny.
4k has too many downsides, for one you'd need at least 2 high end graphics cards and probably need to upgrade them every 2 years. If you want higher framerates you have to drop below native resolution, which i'm guessing would look pretty ugly on a 4k monitor.
You still need rather beefy hardware to stay above 60fps at 1080p, i won't be touching 4k for a while.
6gb and 12gb, do i need to remnd people of the Mars/Titan ripoff fiasco again? the memory will go waste, i really don't get the point in shoving so much memory into a card that'll be barely better than the 290/290x or 780.
it makes it sound better but really you'll be paying over the odds for unneeded memory, PS4 is essentially using 4gb for games and the rest for the system, if you have 4-6gb ddr3 and a 3-4gb graphics card its all you'll need.
Soldier of Fortune 2 on PC had perfect leaning, and that was back in 2002.. and a very fun multiplayer game.
There was another article saying it's good for better controlling your dreams (supposedly) as well as increasing reaction times in the real world. So physically it would help then, even if only a little bit.
The joke's on MS because i got Windows 7 Retail for £55 when it was on preorder offer.. so i can change my hardware as much as i want without it nagging.
Then again on the other hand, i paid full price over £200 for the buggy Vista when it came out -.- good thing Win7 is actually good though.
I am looking forward to AMD's Mantle API, this could be the needed boost PC gaming needs.. well not could, it does need optimization boosts.
Actually, the VMU came out 6 months before the Pocketstation.. so.. nope.
July 1998 VMU,
Pocketstation January 1999.
Hmm.. well, i probably shouldn't comment that if they do bring these back, they took a major liking to the Dreamcast's VMU..
I won't say ripped off, i guess everyone hates that word :P
My complaints of 3DS.. only 2 really, the system could be more comfortable (rounded sides like PSP & Vita) plus it could do with a better thumbstick with more grip, current one gets a bit slippery. Couldnn't hurt to have slightly bigger buttons too, i'm sure it's fine for kids but they could really do with being a bit bigger.
if AMD's Mantle is as good as it should be, this should optimize games greatly on PC.
nothing great, this will just be another slightly better overpriced card. Not worth it over a 290x or regular 780.
Just because it's in space?, it might not even be an FPS..
I don't like Halo anyway, just because something is popular doesn't mean to say its that great.. (COD)
There were PC FPS games much more fun than Halo back in 02, especially online mp.
And this is why i still game @ 1080p on PC, you still need fairly beefy hardware to stay above 60fps in the newest games.
I mentioned before that dropping gamepad support somewhat would allow increase in graphics and performance of the game on the TV.. in fact, i don't really understand why not give 2 options in the first place then? allow all games to have 2 options where we can select wwhether we want live stuff going on with the gamepad, or have it turned off to increase graphics/performance of the game?
it really depends on the type of game it is, as to whether its best played single or multiplayer..
for instance, Left 4 Dead 2 is a great co-op game, playing it by yourself is extremely boring.. playing it online is extremely fun. So most of the time i'm guessing nobody would bother with the single player for that type of game anyway.
Then again, you can have a good single player & multiplayer at the same time.. really it depends if you like playing o...
I thought £400 was expensive back in 2004 for a 6800 Ultra, that couldn't even run games @ 1024x768 without dropping as low as 20fps in Doom3 or Half Life 2.. and since then the cost has gone up even more for high end cards.
is that a GDDR6 card? haven't looked into them for a while really, but if that's the case.. it could well be worth waiting for GDDR6 to arrive as they will be top cards for a good 1-2 years.
Thankfully because of AMD stepped in with a good card, Titan performance for much less cost.
Can you imagine the rediculous prices that Nv would charge if AMD weren't around?. Nv will probably charge a lot for the 780 Ti seeings as its only going to be a little bit better than the 290x at best.
3-4gb card will be fine, but gaming @ 4k is too slow anyway so if buying for that its kinda pointless unless you like gaming @ 30fps only.. too slow for me.
1080p and a solid 60fps+ is where its at.
12gb is useless, trust me.
Look at the 780 vs Titan, the 780 has 3gb less ram and performs practically just as well as the Titan.
If you're buying one for 4k resolution, the frame rate is going to be low anyway because the card its self isn't powerful enough regardless of that extra RAM.. it's a con, i've seen this done before with Mars cards.
Look at the way they did that one benchmark, it's slightly over 20% better than...
